Damn!!! Just recently bought this for £25, which I thought was cheap.

Must see If I can find that receipt...cheers saved me a few quid...heat added....

wonder does this "boil" the water....last cheapie we bought (even though steam comes out of the spout...lol) my wife reckons doesn't boil properly....

So what exactly makes this kettle a good kettle worth £44? To me a kettle is something that boils water, what makes this one better than say a £3 one from ASDA? The speed at which it boils? The capacity?

Capacity, Speed, Looks and Build Quality are the things that make the decision for me.

£40 worth though? I can see at the price it is in this deal it's probably worth getting (hence why I've voted it hot) Just don't see how it could be worth £44 normally. Surely the speed difference can't be worth that much, on top of that I can't remember a time when I've ever had to boil a full kettle of water at once.

It does look nice though which I guess I shouldn't be slating it for, I did spend £25 on a faceplate and some stickers for my 360 :whistling:

thanks just reserved one :)

I need a new kettle but I'm definitely not going for a PLASTIC or ILLUMINATED again! I got the Breville Illuminated and the plastic lip has pretty much melted and the illuminating part is cool for like couple of minutes until it's bit annoying when it's "blue" constantly for not being in use wasting electricity.....
I know this is a different brand but ANY plastic and illuminated kettle is a no-no

is this not the same kettle in white for £14

This is simply the best invention ever. I `ve bought one today, rushed home, put some water (cold ) inside, turned it on , it lit up ( all shimmery like ) and then guess what ...it only turned red !!!!!! AND produced hot water , in a kettle . WOW , made a cup of tea, and drank it. and I can confirm it was quite nice. Tommorow I might try making a cup of coffee . Stand by for update ....

But it doesn't illuminate red sadly, it just turns red (in a dull way). A shame! And it's cheaper at Tesco in white.

Seems so...oddly the RRP of the Tesco white one is only £16 whilst this is £44?!

I'll wage a bet that more than half of you end up taking this back within a fortnight due to not only the horrible burning plastic smell it emits but how dangerously hot the outer casing gets. I'm sure there was a forum posting about how dangerous this particular kettle was on one of these forums some time ago.
