Asda in Telford had these in their clearance section for £35, I haven't used one but seems to be a decent enough brand for a decent enough price! The one that I saw was a fetching shade of pink and white...features included anti-scale and auto shut-off...more information here:

This is a decent iron at a good price. Makes life a lot easier than using an old fashioned iron :-)

Is the picture accurate?

The reason I ask is Sainsburys are also selling a similar unit for £39

I thought the Asda one was a brighter shade of pink than this to be honest, all the stats linked to that pic on the RH website match though...I'll check at lunchtime.

Who said romance was dead :whistling: lol

Seriously though, this gets some pretty dire reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Russell-Hobbs-Steam-Generator-White/dp/B000CEU4CS/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1203603673&sr=1-16

Yes, I discovered the terrible reviews on Amazon AFTER buying this model - http://tinyurl.com/2s8sbe recently on a bargain site for £50. I've only used it once (I do NOT believe in ironing unless strictly necessary:p) and it worked brilliantly. Remains to be seen of course, for how long it works! I must admit though, I wouldn't have bought it had I seen the reviews on Amazon first.

Remember though thats 5 reviews from last year out of hundreds that were sold I expect. I think it's a great deal, infact Its so good I have one :)
#17
maybe a good areason why these are now half price?

Avoid this like the plague worst iron i bought - took out the box read the instructions and the iron just would not work. Tried everything, but nothing, took it back the next day. What happend to the iron I bought was exactly like one of the reviews. Matalan are selling a Morphy Richards one for 59.99 and its brilliant.
