Russian Standard Vodka - probably one of the best on the market - produced in ST Petersberg in a state of the art facility. 40% ABV and a taste that is palatable neat unlike most of the UK so called vodkas.
£10 is an absolute bargain for a 40% abv spirit and even more so for an imported one!

£10 is equivalent to £14.29 per litre.

VAT and duty take £1.67(VAT) and £7.90(Duty) from that £10 leaving the actual cost of this product as 43p a bottle. Get it whilst you can! This has to be a loss leader.

ok - but you may get some satisfaction that you are virtually stealing it from them at 43p a bottle

Crystal Skull is probably the best vodka currently in the market, however it isn't available nowhere near this sort of price so heat!!!!
#5
Heat added, but just to say Tesco have the litre bottle for £15 until the 9th so 71p per litre price more than Sainsbury's

Heat for the Russian standard ladies. Although Putin has probably had first dibs. So it is classed as sloppy seconds.
#8
Heat, cheapest I've ever seen is £120 Not a bad taste for vodka either.

your paying too much for a barrel of oil - Brent Crude is about $70 at the moment!

Not bad but you could get 1 litre of Green Mark for £15 which is arguably a slightly better vodka. Both very nice straight from the freezer though.

Hahaha, you can't go wrong with Russian girls for £10.

Great if you use the £15 off new customer code.

But Green Mark have reduced their strength to 38% ABV in recent months, which should knock about 40p a bottle off in duty saving and also putting them into the standard category in terms of abv alongside Smirnoff, Glens etc - you are comparing a standard vodka to a premium, if you use ABV as the differential.

Nothing cold about those two ☺

Very smooth compared to other vodkas. Guess Russia is compensating for their dwindled oil prices?

Heat as can be used for oil in cars probably.

HOT just for the sweet pic lol

Not really. It's called a loss-leader where the supermarket raises the price of other goods in the store (i.e. food) in order to sell booze at a loss in an effort to entice people into the store. The only people who benefit from such a deal are those who drink a lot and those who only buy just booze in the store and nothing else (which would be unlikely - after you've made a trip there you're almost certain to need something else). Personally I'd rather the big supermarkets put more focus on keeping the food prices down to an acceptable level.

barrel is at the low 50's now son.
#23
Exactly - and at 43p a bottle after taxation on a product imported from Russia - they surely must be making a loss. Freight alone must be more than that to get it to a store?

Hot deal and also disagree with the anti-Russian sentiment on here. The situation in the Ukraine was manipulated by the West to destabilise Russia - the US spent $5bn achieving this. It's motives are debatable but Nato has progressively encircled Russia despite insisting it had no intent to sign up former satellite states at the end of the cold war. Russia is not our enemy, you carry on believing it is if you want. We're the ones usually bombing the hell out of people in the name of 'national security'.

End of rant. Carry on.

Don't buy chocolate - children slaves, don't buy cheap clothes made in the third world, don't drive a car etc. That's not the way to stop all this madness unfortunately...

Ha ha I meant £12......If it was the case then Russia should be selling more Vodka than their oil....... It certainly would be worth more at the moment lol

No the best way to do that would be to buy american products. besided at this price only 43p going to russia so the other nearly £10 in duty and VAT will promote our nice peaceful government's activities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya

agreed, can't beat Crystal Head vodka. Heat added but I got a litre of Stoli Gold label super premium vodka in duty free this week for just 14 euros which will probably last me until next Christmas!
