I'd rather walk than use Ryanair, at least you'd actually get where you want, not some field 50 miles away. :-)

We welcome your criticism though please try to be accurate with your whining. RyanAir are clearly a No Frills airline and they do state airports you can fly from / to.

In terms of deals, £1 (£2 return) including taxes is pretty darn good! - Hot deal!

 cant find any dates for £1 !! was looking for ages ema or birmingham to prague or budapest and krakow if any one else come up with anything any dates let em know please:thumbsup:
#4
Good deal if you can find any,I spend most of Sunday looking for cheap £5 flights from Stanstead, tried all dates and lots of different locations ,didnt find any. I use skyscanner.net much better as also can scan for ryanair interconecting flight.

I managed to find Stanstead to Pisa return, on 24th Feb. Have used these deals before and they are good.
However as I found out today, they try to charge you £100 should you make a typo on a name. I decided not to bother changing the name for obvious reasons! Thats how they make their monet back I guess.
#6
i wouldnt worry too much about the typo on your name, when we flew from stanstead to glasgow our passports werent even cheked!!! they did glance at them but not close enough to actually see anything :O frightening really

When I travelled in the summer they only charged me about £20 admin fee to change the name after I appeared to have made an error with a surname - It took me a while to get through to somebody but they were really helpful (surprsingly). I told them I had not received an email confirmation and only spotted the error when I went to check the booking details onlne. Maybe you could try this?
#8
They told me that it would cost £150.00 for them to change it, or £100 if I did it online. They told me I'd be better off booking new flight not so helpfull!! I am just looking at Gothenburg flights now, think I might book for Jan instead. It'll only cost me £4 instead of £100 lol.

I am being accurate, Ryanair have repeatedly been criticised for advertising destinations that are no where near they claim to be. Try doing a search on google and you'll find enough reports.

Ryanair are repeatedly criticised for allsorts, most of which is total rubbish. The press and 'establishment' dislike them so much that they won't let the truth get in the way of a good story. I also think that if you look hard enough you can find something on google to back up any argument

The destination is always clear when you book. If you don't have the brains to check out exactly where it is and how you'll finish your journey then that is your own fault.

No you're not, you're quoting urban myths. There are a few airports (Frankfurt/Hahn & Oslo/Torp spring to mind) that fit your criterion but the great majority of Ryanair destinations are where they say they are.

Whats with the 'optional' charges? They dont seem optional to me - eg booking fee, handling fee, baggage fee perhaps. Seems to add on £50 per flight before thinking about food or drinks. The flight from Bristol to Gran Canaria seemed good at £9.98 return, but the charges bump it up and I cant see how they are not compulsory.

just looked no booking fee or handling fee and its free online checkin on £1 flights so its only £1 each way if you have no hold luggage

nope, ten minutes and plenty of taxi's and a very regular and cheap bus service

Usual bargains from my favourite cheap airline - moaners can pay through the nose and book with other available carriers.
#20
I don't understand people who moan about deals! Fair enough make a comment if you can find the product cheaper but just writing a boring predictable moan about how bad ryanair is gets on my nerves!!! If you have had personal bad experiences with them then do tell otherwise moan elsewhere!!!

Just booked return flights Liverpool to Belfast for the wife and I total bill - £4.00 all in, remember to use a Visa Electron card, no hold luggage, only carry on, look for the deals that say £1.00 only, and all taxes and add ons are non existant.

We both went to Dublin and Belfast last month for totally free with no charges.

If on a short haul flight then they are bearable as a carrier, just drink and eat before boarding, put your head back and put your mp3 player on and sit back for the 40 mins it takes for such a short flight and you are there in no time at all.

Fantastic deal

Hot! Booked a couple of flights yesterday on this offer...

On the subject of airports a long way from their destinations - I have a few more to add:

Paris (Beauvais)
Milan (Bergamo)
Stockholm (Skavsta/Vasteras)
Barcelona (Girona/Reus)
Glasgow (Prestwick)
Dusseldorf (Weeze)

Personally I don't have a problem with this - having to make an extra coach/train journey or hire a car is worth it to get such cheap fares IMO - I'm planning to fly to Weeze and hire a car to go to Amsterdam. However, you need to be aware exactly where you're flying and how you're going to travel onwards. The problems arise when, for example, people buy a ticket to Girona and think they're flying into Barcelona airport. Paying £1 for a flight into Girona is very tempting, but if Easyjet happen to be offering a flight into Barcelona for £15 it might just be worth paying the extra...

Just booked my mother for a return trip Dublin to Prestwick for €2 to come and visit us.

Well done to Ryanair again for these fantastic deals :):):)

Hi...first post! I'll never understand the Ryanair bashers.

I'm planning a little jaunt around Europe in January, using a combination of cheap one-way tickets. Is there any way in which I can book all the flights at the same time? I'd like to avoid the extra ten pound credit card charge on each flight, and I don't have a Visa Electron.

Many thanks!

Hot Deal. I flew to Reus twice this year for £5 and found them just as good as any airline these days.

Regarding the distance between airports and destinations. Arn't most airports away from citys anyway? All London ones are a good hour away? Cardiff is 45 minutes from Cardiff and so is Bristol?
Are people expecting the airports to be in the town centre, next to the Bus Station? :p

The booking fee is optional as you can use Visa Electron (if you have one) or the on-line entropay system. Hold baggage fee is optional on the grounds that it's up to you if you take hold baggage. I don't. No idea what the "handling fee" is but it must be optional as I've never paid it.

Errm I travelled to Dublin last year with them and once I printed off my boarding pass noticed my lads passport had expired .. edited the expiry date on the boarding pass and hey presto got through no problems, they never even checked !

Don't actually need a passport to travel to Dublin but do need a valid one if you want to use web check-in.

Add Dusseldorf to that list. Around 50 miles form even the outskirts.

Frankfurt hahn is a laugh too about 2 hours on the bus.

I made the mistake once of grabbing a coffee and a pastry before my flight, then being told to go to the wrong check-in desks three times by Ryan Air staff, only to find my desk had closed less than 5 mins before and I wasn't allowed to board the flight, so the weekend was ruined. Very strict policies and zero understanding, other 'customers' ina similar situation were less understanding of company policy and my, was the air turned blue by some choice Essex language at 6.30am - I blushed.

Not voting either way because Ryan Air simply aren't a customer friendly airline, but flights have become a commodity these days rather than a luxury, never thought I'd see BA struggling to such an extent and Ryan Air flourishing, but there you go.

do you know what the weather is like? i can only find averages just wondered fom personal experience would you get in the pool? or is it to cold? Thanks:)
#34
entropay system is down at the moment :(
#35
Plumberman01 yesterday it was 26 degrees, I always think the pool is too cold but my 14 year old went in last week. Evenings are chilly but nothing like here. Use weatherbug (when it works) there is a live weathrcam at Malaga (and many other) airport and it will give you the exact temp.......It is usually a bit cooler at the airport as it picks up a bit of breeze because of the open aspect.
#36
Hardly a deal... it's the equivalent of posting the mfi sale...

Never has the saying "you get what you pay for" been so relevant than with Ryanair.

Guys i'm not here to Ryanair bash , if it wasn't for them i could only see my family once a year so I love them . I get on a plane and it takes me to where i want to go . I understand how to online check in and how to remove insurance , hold luggage etc and to use Entropay .
My question is that i bought flight to go home for christmas about 3 weeks ago and paid £67 return (pretty reasonable compared to the old days) but with this offer i can get the 2 exact same flight s for £34 , is there anyway i can cancel and then book the same flights at the better price ?
I'm expecting the answer is no and if so then so be it i'm not going to hold it against them for the rest of my life just because there is no telly in the headset or reclining bloody seats !!

I don't understand what people want from an airline I pay to get to Dublin and back 4-5 times a year , they get me there And they get me back on time and cheap . If people don't like that and want to pay 100's more for an alternative then more fool them . To me i expect nothing more than a bus ride but in the sky .

What sort of service would you like? The days of choosing your seat and free meals are gone on most airlines, if they are still in place then you have to pay a hefty premium.
OK so if you can't get there on time then you miss your flight, thats your problem to be fair, not Ryan Airs :whistling:

I fail to see what other services you would be expecting from an airline? Shoes polished? Rose petals that fall on your lap when you open the seat back tray? If you want to watch a movie then buy an Archos with the money you've saved. If you wan't to know where you are then look out of the window :p
