Why do people vote these offers cold? I think its a decent deal to fly to Marrakesh and back for £20 per person. If you take a wheelie bag on board and dont check any luggage the only additional fees are £16 for the credit card.

That totals £28 return flight to Marrakesh from Bristol. Cant go wrong...the train to London costs more than that!

Probably because many people detest Ryanair for its sharp business practices, misleading marketing, and the apalling way it treats its passengers and staff.

Maybe? :whistling:

probably.....right....:p

And the fact it's not really a 'deal' if they have a comparable offer on every week.

A Ryanair 'deal' has become a lot like getting a 'half price' sofa from DFS.

I didn't know that rubbish was still on, but checked the website and found their waste of time article on ryanair!

I'd much rather pay £4 cc charge and 1p for a 'free' flight than pay for this joke of a show with my compulsory TV tax.

If it costs him so much and he does it ever year surely you would have thought he would have got a Visa Electron card. Or with so many people going one of them would have one!

These flights are not free they are £20 per person plus the £4 e/w fees so cheapest flight £28 per person.

I'd rather pay £3.91 for the flight and a 10p transaction fee. Do you not get the feeling that someone is trying to pull the wool over your eyes when the advertised 1p flight is suddenly £4.01 at the checkout?

No the cheapest you can pay is £20 per person return because there is no credit card charge if you use Solo.....or is it Electron i forget.

Anyhow a good deal either way, if you can class it as a deal...

Yes i know this but how many people have one ? i bet as soon as people start getting one ryanair will charge for electron or remove this option from there system.

I think the £8 charge is a bit much as it only costs them around 10p and i also think this is going to get silly with ryanair deals as they have a sale on all year round so once or twice a week we are going to see ryanair deals posted now can you imagine if i posted a dfs deal each week

I see what you're saying, but I think most people with half a brain realise it is a bit of a scam but see the big picture rather than the individual components. I've said before that I'm not bothered how they split up the £4.01 I pay as long as I get a cheap flight.

I think ryanair are a bit like marmite - you either love it or hate it.. And I think the people who hate it base a lot of it on the joke investigations by the ASA.
#17
I've read somewhere that if you have a visa debit card you could try picking the electron type on the ryanair website and avoid the charge as it will still process the transaction. Haven't personally tried it to confirm it works but worth a go I'd say!

Going to dublin for 4p no tax! BARGAIN!

only got tucked up on payment £16 for a card but still mega deal tbh!

I agree the credit card charge is a joke, but i dont think there is any harm in posting Ryan air deals here on the site. The deals do tend to differ slightly and give people a chance to stay up to date on what is on offer.

DFS dont offer any deals IMO...they offer sofas reduced from £800 to £400 when the sofa is only worth £400 in the first place. No-one can argue that £20 to fly to Budapest is a not a hot deal? To get the best dates at the best prices you do need to be fast and that is what hot deals allows you to do...

Im sure that makes a some sense:thinking:

Must say thanks for the post, as it keeps everyone up to speed on this weeks special deal. But i understand why so many dispise Ryanair. They are the airine that instigated bagagge fees, credit card fees, seatless check in, check in fees, priority boarding fees, refund fees greater than the refund to get out of paying etc. And how they have the nerve to charge you a fortune to take suitcase, then charge you for checking it in, and only allow a measly 15kg is beyond me. These cowboys make all their money charging a fortune per kilo over the pathetic allowance. I mean really, 15kg is nothing. My suitcase weighs nearly 7kg empty.
#27
I bought myself £20 of ryanair vouchers and paid for my flights with them. Had to ring up-can't do it online but was straightforward for me and saved the booking fees. Might be useful to someone if you don't have a visa electron but I think minimum voucher purchase might be £20.

I have to say that I dont understand most of the people that moan about Ryanair.

Yes, they charge you for using a credit card over and above what they get charged but so what. There is always other airliners that you can fly wit .... oh wait hang on, no there isnt because that would cost you more money and you dont want to pay that.

Yes its mildly annoying when it comes to slightly more than you expected but seriously, I took a group of 5 of us over to Barcelona for a stag do for less than 100 pound earlier this year ( including check in fees, 3 suitcases and credit card fees). Easyjets price was over 250, and other airliners were coming in between 300-500 quid before heading off into silly territory. Put this into another context, its costing me over half of that to head into London this weekend with the other half for a night out.

Having flown with Ryanair 3 times in the last year I can say that 5 out of the 6 flights have left on time, all arrived on or before their scheduled landing time, the staff were efficient without being over friendly and the planes were clean and got me there. I personally would rather spend 1/3 of the cost flying ( something which I am not a mad fan of anyway ) and the balance on enjoying myself when I get there.

Can't believe some are complaining about a £4 charge.
I could understand it if there's plenty of other flight companies who offer as cheap flights, but there's noone cheaper than Ryanair imo.
Despite the fuel crisis, etc, its cheaper to fly across europe than to get a train to another city here. Crazy.

Do what Ive done & open a basic CO-OP Bank account.
No Charge if you use a Visa Electron Card
No Charge if you only take on hand luggage & Check in Online

The Price I see, is the Price I Pay & no more.
Airport Parking charges is another mater £8+ a day for somwhere that isnt even patrolled.

Avoid the £8 charge if you have a Visa Electron card too.

i would definatly advise against this
if anything happens ou loose all your money
my mum and dad were flying out with XL the day they went bust
and as they booked with their ncredit card they got the whole amount back
and as they book through xl.com wasnt even covered by abta/atol
if they had used electron or debit cards they would of lost the lot
even if your debit/electron card has a visa logo on it its only a method of payment and you will not be covered.
pay with your credit card only.
i know you you pay a surcharge but its well worth it

I just got flights to Marakech for 5 of us for £100 ... voted hot !!
Anyone know of any cheap hotel deals out there ? Will we get fed on the plane or do we have to pay for it ?

Cheers

I don't understand why people moan about Ryanair either, it's only a couple of quid and you're already getting a dirt cheap fare to begin with. I guess these are the same people who bring their own food into the cabin and don't buy anything in flight :).

I use my Visa Electron all the time with Ryanair :p! (hate me all you want)

Not only do I buy food in flight.. I even pay extra for priority boarding which would probably total more than I paid for the fare........................ (lots more dots to make it more dramatic)............................
