Ryanair Pays Out after Jinxing Ryanair Horse

1M FREE SEATS EVEN THOUGH RYANAIR HORSE DIDNT WIN THE RYANAIR CHASE

NO TAXES, NO CHARGES, ZIP, NADA

Ryanair, Cheltenhams favourite airline today (13th March) announced that although the Ryanair horse, Mossbank didnt win the Ryanair chase, it will still give away 1 million free seats (no taxes, no charges) because we probably jinxed him.

Speaking this afternoon, Ryanairs Head of Sales and Marketing, Sinead Finn said;

Sadly the Ryanair horse didnt win the Ryanair chase. With 1 million free seats riding on Mossbank to win, he was jinxed from the outset, so well pay out regardless to thank all the passengers who have made Ryanair Cheltenhams favourite airline.

The 1 million free seats for travel in April have been released on http://www.ryanair.com. We advise passengers to book immediately as these seats are FREE, no taxes and no charges and will be snapped up in record time.

Editors Note: A nominal 1 p charge applies and will be reimbursed on request

Just got a free flight, great post

Great 3 seats standsted to Newquay to visit family. 6p + £6 debit card fee.
Still about 7 times cheaper than driving.
Dont forget to cancel insurance and do online check in otherwise you pay more. Also if you need to check in luggage it is extra but you can have 10kg cabin luggage.
#7
haha nominal charge of 1p will be reimbursed on request...
#8

I've found one! lol... I was looking for 1p flights from Newcastle too...
If you fancy going to Dublin on the 28th March theres a 49p flight and a return the next evening to Newcastle for 1p...

The taxes can all be removed... Just need to go through the stages to purchase them and then you get the choice to remove them before putting your details in.

Gutted!!! group of us booked to a Dublin knees up from 8th-10th April and these are included in the free flights :(
#14
typical ryanair. When you find a 1p flight going out, its impossible to find a free one coming back.
#15
i can find loads of 49p flights but all with damm taxes on them.
#16
Superb, just booked Prestwick to Oslo for 2 people. £4.04 in total and £4 of that was the card booking fee!
#17
Same here, unable to find any 1p flights that dont charge the taxes.
#18
NICE :w00t: East Mids - Madrid for just 2 shiny pence that I can claim back. Great flight time out, not so good coming back but can't grumble for the price. Use Visa Electron if you have one to avoid the card fee
There ARE free flights to be had you just need to look hard for them and be flexible
#19
Can never be bothered with this type of thing... just so many different charges or things they can try and charge you for... like fly drive etc.

Has everyone tried the flightchecker tool on mse? You can put in your departure airport, tick the option for flights anywhere and change the price to £1 to find all the destinations with flights for 1p. I just checked it and it's been updated to include flights on this offer. Sorry - I don't know how to add a link. Just google flight checker and you'll find it.
#21
Thanks for that, I got 4 flights for me and my family to go and see my sister in Spain for 8p return for all of us!!!
The first purchase I have made via HUKD and a fantastic one!! I voted HOT!

Can someone please help me find 1p flight to barcelona from Luton as it comes up as a tenner
#23
I must be doing something wrong somewhere ....

I can see a 1p e/w return flight e.g to Olso but after selecting the flights they ask u if ya want to check in bags ......... and there is a fee - 1 bag and airport check in is £18 .... 2 bags for £42 ......... 3 bags for £66 .........

Ok unless you are travelling with kids you'd prob never take 3 bags but still £18 for taking a suitcase ........ how long has this been going on/been allowed?

Are you guys travelling with hand luggage only?!
#24
8p for the 4 of us family break to newquay 12th-15th April its a bonus as its the school holidays. Lots of 1p flights to newquay available from stansted and its only a 40mins flight plus the airport is so small you are in and out in 10 Min's its only down the road from the hotels and town centre as well. had i had a nice win today at cheltenham 3x£5 e\w doubles 1x£5 e\w treble all placed paid £180 so this will be spent on the trip.

Take hand luggage only and check in online and you won't get a charge! You can fit so much in hand luggage this should be plenty! I am taking 2 small children and a hand luggage bag each!

Excellent offer - thanks very much for this posting. Got 2 flights to Liverpool from Belfast for 4p!:)
#27
Thanks Pheeny - just seen that there is a 10kg hand baggage allowance (extract from website below.

Anyone use online check in b4? Not sure that I want to (potentially) type in passport numbers ... and what happens if u dont have/can't be bothered to find a wifi hotspot while on hol (to book the return) or do u only check in online once?

Also are there any credit/debit cards that do not incur a surcharge?

Cabin Baggage Allowance

Each passenger (excluding infants) is permitted to carry one piece of cabin baggage on board (free of charge). It should weigh no more than 10kg and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Due to security restrictions - certain items cannot be carried in cabin baggage - click here for details. For the safety and convenience of all passengers, cabin baggage must fit underneath the seat or in the overhead compartment.

Anyone know their policy on infants under 2, they excluded?

Will they charge a packet on top when turn up with pram and the like?

http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=CHARGES - 'Infant Fee' - £10 or E15

also £6 to take a travel cot aka 'Infant Equipment Fee'

From the Ryanair site:

What is Ryanair's policy on the carriage of infants?

If you are travelling with an infant (aged 8 days up to and including 23 months), you can include them on your seat booking by making an infant reservation on our website or by calling your local reservations centre.
Newly born infants up to 7 days inclusive are not accepted on Ryanair flights.
For safety and insurance requirements, infants (aged 8 days up to and including 23 months) must be accompanied by a passenger aged 16 years or above and booked in the ratio of one infant per adult. Children aged between 8 days and less than 2 years as at date of travel cannot travel in their own seat and must sit on an adult's lap. (One infant per adult). N.B. Extra seats cannot be purchased for infants.
Click here for details of the charge applied for the carriage of infants.
If the infant reaches the age of 2 years prior to the return journey they must pay the applicable fare, taxes, fees and charges for that part of the journey. Proof of age may be required so please have the infant's valid photo-id available for inspection (or birth certificate if traveling on a route that does not require valid photo-id i.e. Ireland-UK Ireland, UK domestic or Italian domestic flights).
No baby/car seats are allowed in the cabin of the aircraft.
There is no checked baggage allowance for infants. However, one fully collapsible pushchair per infant may be carried free of charge. Additional infant equipment is charged at a fee per item. (Click here for details)
To ensure that all families travel at the best price and receive the best service we have introduced a number of services to make it easier for family travel:

Pushchairs can be used up to the entrance to the plane (provided that local conditions permit this). After landing your pushchair will be available at the aircraft steps.

Infant seatbelts are provided on all Ryanair aircraft and individual assistance can be provided by the cabin crew, if required to ensure that infant seat belt is used correctly.

Baby changing facilities are available on board.
if people do manage to get real 1p flights( i guess some do exist) then watch out for the hidden charges with ryanair

Airport Check-In

Each passenger checking in at the airport is subject to an Airport Check-In fee per one way flight of £3.00/€4.00 (or local currency equivalent) which is payable at the time of flight reservation.

also you have to pay now with ryanair for your checked in baggage ,consider it asan extra ticket you have to buy!
that 1p flight can snowball pretty quickly!

But online check-in is free and much better as it means less time @ the airport! And most budget airlines charge for luggage to be checked in which I am glad about as it means those that can manage with just hand luggage aren't paying towards those that can't ;-) If you just want a few days away these flight can't be beaten

found some free flights from liverpool to nantes, took me ages to find as it looks like the find lowest fares link has it been removed, can anyone tell my why this is?
#38
Thank you very much! I've booked a short trip this evening without asking travelling partners, and if thats no good will book something more suitable tomorrow :)
#39
Why are these free flights never actually free, every time I book a flight with Ryanair on a 'special deal' the price always seems to work out the same as 'normal':x
#40
I've just booked a return flight for 7 adults from Luton to Milan (Orio Al Serio) for £14

Now all I need to do is find out to get from that airport into Milan. If anyone's been before can they please let me know
Thanks
