I booked a ticket for my my mum coming back from Spain and booked this last thursday. Was annoyed to see this offer. However, thought I would try my booking ref anyway and it worked.

To anyone that has booked a ticket recently (in the sale ended last thursday) might be worth chucking in your ref too) I have just booked to Dublin for 4p all in!!

I am sure this is a great deal, but I refuse to line Michael O'Leary's pockets anymore.
#6
OMG we will all have a bigfoot sized carbon footprint!
#7
Would have gone to Salzburg but as it is its not on the list, damn it. And agree old O'Leary is a right toerag, conman if ever there was one!

Knowing Ryanair it would probably be listed as Salzburg (Vienna) or something ridiculous if they did fly 'there' anyway.

Care to explain why he is a conman ?

Haha brilliant! Is that because you've booked three flights already? I'm not too up to scratch on it all
#12
how do you get it so cheap? I cant find any like that
#13
Been checking out the site. Most appear to be for London. Cant get any that I want but thats always the story with Ryanair. I pay the difference for AerLingus. Its worth it! After all you get what you pay for. Squashed seats, damaged baggage and treated like a heard of sheep!!!!
#14
Just checked this and it appears that it doesn't matter what reservation number you type in it still lets you go through! I made one up and it still let me go right through to booking it. Could have had long weekend in Dublin from LBA.

Not reccomending you do this, just stating that it is possible. :whistling:

I hear they've booked massive fog machines for use at all airports for the next few months :giggle:

Be a blast to book a whole plane for one trip.....and not turn up. It would cost less than £2!

For sure it would be the cheapest way ever of chartering a Boeing 737-800, somehow though, I think they would cotton on to it and cancel your reservations!
#22
Hi. Has anyone booking the flights had their booking confirmation yet?
#23
Yep i've got my confirmation

Yep i've got my confirmation

Was yours a real flight number or a made up one?
#25
i booked for 2 adults and 5 children , bournemouth to glasgow......14p total paid and confirmation emailed to me.I have even rung ryan air to ask about other items and they confirmed the booking waaa hooooo
#26
Have just visited the ryanair website and they have changed the needed information to a confirmation number and the original card number used to book it guess too many people realised the loophole I wonder if they will wimp out on the offer like others did
#27
Conman! well where do I begin.

He (O'Leary) has been quoted as saying "I will never raise taxes", maybe not but he has done the following.

1.Now charges for baggage in the hold.
2 Everybody pays a wheelchair surcharge(note not a tax!) even if you
don't have a wheelchair.
3. Pay extra for credit card use, now most do this but Ryanair differs in that
lots of debit cards are treated by their system as credit cards incurring
extra costs. To remedy this you have to ring up , another cost, and explain the situation. They are well aware of the problem but do nothing about it as no doubt lots of people are unaware of it or cant be bothered phoning.

Enough said. Regards

beware - new taxes are being introduced for flights in the next two weeks. The BBC news said that Ryanair will be contacting customers next week to request this extra charge. I'm not sure whether this "free" promotion includes this new tax which probably wasn't known about when the promotion was started.
#29
just heard about this tax thing on the news, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6258213.stm

Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary said all passengers will be emailed and asked to pay.
If they fail to pay by midnight on the night before they travel, they will not be able to fly, he said.

Doesn't apply as the price includes taxes. That article applies to people who booked flights before Gordon Brown announced the increase on flights after Feb.

run that by me again? my hangover is inhibiting my, er, brain.
#32
i don't know the exact wording of the offer, but it may just include "airport taxes" and not this new "fuel tax" or whatever it is.

I'm not saying you definitely will be asked for more $$$ from Ryanair, I'm just saying it's a possibility.
