Can't imagine Ryanair enabling ANY third party to do ANYTHING with ANY Ryanair booking EXCEPT add additional cost/complexity/difficulty. Their whole model is to EXCLUDE third parties.

Indeed as highlighted in an earlier similiar thread there was a reminder that Ryanair reserve the right to leave you standing at the airport with cancelled tickets!

(Not in anyway seeking to support Ryanair and their £ goudging policies, just alerting people to published policies.)

why is this cold?

Because it's Ryanair and no-one trusts them any more. Not that they ever did. :p

Would have voted hot but its not £9
#7
Wouldn't touch ryanair with a barge pole, would rather pay more and use someone I trust (a bit at least)

hmmmm let me see, as well as the £9 the following charges will apply:

Luggage £20
Airport Check in £15
Charge to sit in departure lounge £25
Charge to board aircraft £8
Charge to use the toilet on aircraft £2
Charge for oxygen masks free (of course)
Charge for the oxygen £5 + £1 per minute

I suggest you watch ryanair caught napping, just search for it online. I flew with Ryanair years ago and did get a flight to spain for £2 return with no taxes but the charges that have been introduced are shocking. It is fact that Ryanair put profit before people's safety. They are a shocking airline, worst airline in the world i believe. I would rather pay in excess of £100 for a flight as opposed to anything with Ryanair. I hope Ryanair go bust. Look at the greedy bstards when we had the problem with the volcanic ash, the dikheed didn't want to reimburse anyone a penny and reluctantly agreed to do so when it was pointed out to him that he had no option.

Checked out some Ryanair prices a few days ago - it was actually cheaper to fly with BA!

Sorry guys this is the first time i have ever posted a thread !
I went on to travelrepuplic site yesterday and booked the flights
i never check a bag in when i go for less than a week as you have 10kg handluggage and that enough for me!
so the full cost was £36.90 the flight was £18.00 return and never got any charges ! only 90p credit card fee from traverepuplic had all the cost sent to my email and i only have to check in on ryanair web page before i go thats all no more cost, you do not pay to sit together with ryanair and i never do speed board pass so for me it was a nice cheap £36.90 flight .
I am ex travel agent so this is a very cheap way for me to fly
check it out guys and see for yourself

We've flown Ryanair several times and have been exceptionally well pleased with the service and the costs. Just don't pay for anything you don't need. It's a "does what it says on the tin" airline - you just have to be sure you actually READ the tin before you book. We need more like Ryanair, not less!

We are going to Valencia next sunday and paid £12 return each (all in), try and find that anywhere else.

Only hot if you can find a deal with no taxes etc and want hand luggage. Found some 1p flights from them a few years back, and thought it was worth visiting some family abroad for a few days. By the time i finished the flights for 2 adults, 1 child and an infant at 1p for 3 seats came in at over £250! I never did complete the booking and would honestly only ever fly with such a greedy penny pinching airline if there was no alternative, and that includes traveling to airports much further away.
Don't forget that if they see you with 'hand luggage' and something else in your hands at the gate, they force you either get it into you hand luggage and will only let it on if it still fits in the cage. If not it goes in the hold at an ridiculous rate. Other than that you have to abandon it at the gate, and that includes duty free!

Interesting to see how many Ryanair threads are going negative these days - that's quite a change.

O'Leary - you've been sussed!

I had a lot of flights with Ryanair for 1p. They don't say that all their flights are 1p. They give you the option. Tbh when I was traveling from Glasgow to Dublin (a 45min flight) I did not need any water, food or anything else... I was going there for a week end so the 10kb were more than enough. If you would like the luxury of duty free, well pay for it ;), I did not need it so I was not forced to pay for something that I did not need. When I see comments like this I am wondering every time if people are going to Primark are they expecting Hugo Boss quality?

Ryanair said it for a couple of times, if you want to travel when we want you to travel then the price is small. If you are not flexible you pay the price that we are asking for. BTW, my flatmate had 3 flight with BA in the last 6 months, guess what all of them were delayed at least 1 hour. Other friend had the same issues.... you can check ryanairs statistics and you can see that they are the best in punctuality....

Is that right...you have to abandon duty free at the gate if it is in a different bag?

I have only used Ryanair once when I flew from Stansted to Newquay a few years ago for 1p each way. The flight could not land at Newquay because the airport was shut due to fog so we flew into Bristol and Ryanair provided coaches to finish the journey. I couldn't fault the staff they were fab. They particularly looked after a very confused and worried elderly gentleman who could not contact his daughter to let her know about the delay. They kept trying her number for him until they got through. As has already been said by others a good deal if you don't need the extras.

Your caring, sharing Ryanair - what a bunch of nasty, greedy, unpleasanr people. And, as I said, frequently dearer than even BA when you take their 'extras' into account. And I'm no BA lover!
