Boo..........Faster than that?

Damn right faster than that! :D

I can confirm. Bought it today, dries so fast that you can't even write anything on the paper...
Seems a bit of an odd idea, upmarket shell for a cheap and cheerful pen. Heat added anyway

Anyone know what's the difference between these sharpies and other cheaper pens that are available? remember David Beckham promoting these a few years back.
What, you mean like a Bic pen or something? The ones that ex footballer you were on about are the Permanent markers that they sell, which pretty much write on anything, this is a normal sort of everyday 0.4mm fine liner style pen which would compete with all the other brands that you see in a stationers.
If you can find a pen like this or better, with such good ink, that is refillable, and not made of plastic then please let me know. :)
Thanks for the info
As someone with terrible handwriting. This pen makes it not so terrible. :)
Uncommon.Sense
Yeah, and like most Sharpie's it still writes well on wax paper, and weird surfaces. :)

Does it rub-off easily, or is it permanent?

Edit: ok, I think I found my answer here:

"Please note that this is a pen for writing and drawing on paper, not a permanent marker - it's a steel-bodied version of the Sharpie Pen, not the classic Sharpie Fine Marker.

Waterproof and smear-resistant when dry. Ink is acid-free and non-toxic. Durable tip delivers precise and consistent writing with minimal effort. Rubber grip area for writing comfort. Quick drying ink is ideal for left handers."

Waterproof and smear-resistant is good enough for me.

I wonder if it's just 2.1A out?
If so, I reckon something like this (which can be ordered online and delivered) is still a better idea:https://www.amazon.co.uk/20000mAh-Coolreall-Portable-Capacity-Rechargeable/dp/B01L90C9HQ/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1494232787&sr=1-10&keywords=power+bank#Ask
Both have three usb3 connections 3, theoretically 0.9 amps per connection. So if your device can use it, it should charge it faster. (Usb2= 0.5 amps per connection). I don't see how either can claim up to 1.5 amp per connections as they are all usb3, not usb3.1
nope
I've got relatively new phones (no iphones or ipads) but they never charge faster than 0.9 amps, from mains chargers or power banks, the maximum I've measured is about 0.74 amps. From computer with Usb3 connections, with any device, I've yet to exceed 0.5 amps

I have a 10000 mAh power bank that I bought whilst I was in America and one of the charge ports is 2.4A and will charge my phone in a ridiculously short amount of time. The 1A charging ports are useless - you may as well go and buy a new phone for how slow it bloody charges.

Just for info Argos currently selling them for £22.99 for 3x 35L
tbh the lids on these could be designed better i.e less of a gap under inner edge where box meets lid
sexylexy
Why do people say these boxes are so robust?. When there are so many that arrive damaged (cracked/chipped etc)? There are sellers on auction sites selling damaged ones for £6 each...these sellers have pallets loads of damaged ones.
BTW just for pricing reference..Argos sell 3 35L for £29

Plastic is plastic, they are not polycarbonate (unbreakable) as that would be extortionate. All I can say is repeat above. I have tried at least 4 other brands and by far my RUBs have taken more bashing and only one has a chip in the corner that happened when moving.

But, of course, your experience may differ!

Received them yesterday. 1 box was cracked all down one corner. Looks like the parcel was dropped from a great height!

Phoned them though and they are sending out another one without a return required so good customer service.

Compatible toner is about £10.60 delivered on Ebay . But its only 1000 pages yield so it should be cheap.

For anyone that prints a lot, this is very poor value. We use a HP4100 , and compatible toner is about £12 for 10,000 pages.

Do you have a link for the £12 toner please?
Picked one up today at my local Rymans. It's very small and compact but quick at printing. AirPrint worked straight out the box too which was nice.

Finally a reply from Victorinox:

We have just received information from our product development team.

The Ibex no longer has a headphone port. This was removed on all of our backpacks a couple years ago because users now listen to music on their phone which is kept in a pants pocket and not in the backpack.
The feature had become obsolete. Unfortunately, there still are old pictures online.

Please accept our apologies for this misleading information.

So an updated version. Rymans response has simply been if you don't like it return it.

Swissgear are a retailer. Wenger's own site shows that bag with the headphone port but doesn't mention it in the description.https://www.wenger.ch/global/en//Gear/Business-Gear/Business-Backpacks/Ibex/p/600638
I'm in email discussion with Victorinox over my general dissatisfaction with the bag's inability to stand up, so will ask about the headphone port as well. I've also just noticed that the small accessory compartment has a completely different layout to the pics online. I'm beginning to suspect clearance of obsolete stock...
Hi

Yes I had a look on you tube -- there seems to be various versions of the bag.

So either old stock or a new version!

There is a multi coloured version of the back pack without headphone outlet and the same internal compartment to the one i was sent.

Reviews for this seem to be from 2017 and it is selling for about 160 dollars.

Mike
Ps
I emailed Swissgear initially and was quickly emailed victorinox address.

The job of a telescope is to capture light, it's the eyepieces which do the magnification. This telescope gathers half as much light as a pair of 8x50 or 10x50 binoculars which are like two telescopes, one for each eye. Buying a 'scope like this will quickly end any interest in astronomy due to the disappointing views.

Decent review https://telescopereviewer.com/celestron-powerseeker-50-az-refractor-telescope-review/

I could not get the 20% offer on their home page to apply to the batteries but offer code Spring for 15% off got the price down to £4.25 plus I went via TCB

They're doing a better one in Poundland for £15.

Wasn't aware of that, didn't see it posted on here, and not on their web site, so maybe in store only.
I just saw this and thought it was an alternative for people that wanted one, but didn't really want to pay the £30+ for a Karcher one

Of course, I never checked my emails until on the way back home from town this afternoon...

Thank you very much, can't have enough headphones it seems. Also well done MeteorUK, above, for the working code: £4.24 in total.

One last thing, if you see a distracted and red-faced panting jogger struggling in the Leeds area, with a smile in his face, don't be alarmed, he is listening to Wittertainment through his new earphones. Please do not run him over.

Hello to Jason Isaacs.
You can use voucher to get 15% off too : RY15NY
