Still unsure about them as I would can't think of an occation where I would use a cordless hammer drill.. normally with hammer drills its for heavy duty stuff no? Its a bit of waste.. :( Screwfix has a Site drill for £50 (14.4v 2 batts etc) the battery etc is smaller.. maybe more worthwhile getting that..

I'm a carpenter and while this deal looks good in terms of value, you're actually buying a substandard product.

No DIYer really needs a combi drill and a drill driver, you are better off spending a little bit more money on a decent Makita or Dewalt cordless that will do a lot more, last a lot longer and only cost a fraction more.

the site mentioned at screwfix is actually much better value, 3 batteries & it has very similar components to last years makita 18v combi, so it's really good value!

On doing some researching, think Im going to pass on this and get the Sparky li-ion starter kit from Screwfix @ £70.. Don't know if the tiny drill is up for the diy stuff I do but only one way to find out..!

Edit: picking that because I need a tool box as-well!

I take your point, but as a keen DIYer, quite often it can be a pain in the backside constantly swapping from a drill bit to a screwdriver bit so it's nice to have both ready at once, and although buying the above may seem expensive I think they're better quality than your average budget power tool.
