Good deal, but 5oz is barely bigger than a single quarter pound beef burger.

Its 25% bigger according to my calculations.

voted hot for price but I think it's all its worth really, you don't get a lot and it's not the best food(in my local anyways) but I might give it another try tonight

Last time I saw a valid drinks list it was this....

Choice of drinks includes:

A pint of Coors Light, Carling, Guinness, Strongbow, Smoothflow or Cask Ale
A bottle of Beck's or Beck's Blue
A Smirnoff or Bell's and mixer
A Gordon's and tonic
A 175ml glass of Vinewood red, white or rosé wine
A J2O or large Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, R. White's Lemonade
Tea or coffee

But it may vary by pub.

I'm confused as well, following the link it says the £4.99 in big bold letters and yet the small print says £5.99 in all Sizzling Pub and Grill sites.

Some sizzling Pubs have been facelifted and relaunched as a "Sizzling Pub and Grill". Blue decor rather than red. New furniture. More upmarket menu (only slightly). Higher prices!!!

There's one near us and I get the impression they're quite fond of deep frying everything now e.g. bacon. Will see how they do next time I go.

million time better quality food, cleanliness, service and museum + effort into decor and atmosphere at wetherspoons. on a Tues, all day, not in city centre, its around £6.50 for 8oz Aberdeen Angus rump or sirloin with all trimmings and good choice of drinks and fast good service mega clean million times better venues. spoons is very underrated.

It's always a struggle not to downvote posts titled "it's back", but this is a good deal!

I somewhat agree. It has helped to shakeup many an overpriced food venue. However, far from perfect - the food is decent, never great (microwave, ready meals stuff in the main, low quality oven chips), you must like horribly sticky tables and you must be willing to tolerate the local drunks who frequent from morning till evening. I have been to many around the country and while the format and consistency is it's greatest asset, it's also it's biggest weakness (as per preceding comments)!

Important question. Is this Sunday inclusive? It just says "until Sunday". Can you use this UP TO sunday or ON sunday?

5oz is probably the precooked weight too. So if they've overcooked it, you're going to get a piece of tough cardboard on your plate!

My steak was spot on, and I am a bit of a snob when it comes to eating out, lovely Guinness to complement it
