It's back but the price is better than ever.

Price shows as £42, but it's £37.80 when you use the 10% discount listed on here.

Discount code is "orange10"

This is a portable hard drive, no mains power required, power comes from the USB port. These drives work fine with laptop or desktop PCs, Media players, consoles, etc.

These drives are not suitable for dismantling to use the 2.5" drive for laptops, PS3s etc. The internals are non standard, with the USB port soldered directly onto the drive. So these can only be used as external drives.

But a fantastic price for a perfectly good wee drive. You can't buy mains powered 3.5" drives this cheap. So get them while you can.

Yup.. this goes on and on... and gets cheaper and cheaper. Next month they will probably be giving them away with sticks of bubblegum..... or gaffertape so you can mask out the wrongen on the cover of this thing.

Thanks alot Op :D. Been waiting for a 2.5 500gb below £40
Anyone know if this is embossed or not?

If I get this i'd want to paint over it.
Just keep it in the black pvc slip case - just like me laddo himself.

Using mine right now - nobody is any the wiser...
thanks for the reply - but it would eat away at me, knowing he was in there...

is it embossed?
Oh, how I've missed you :)

No it's underneath a sticky plastic cover on the front - removing it would mean taking the cover off.

It's not embossed, nice flat glossy surface.

However it comes with a handly leatherette wallet that conceals the fact you own a hard drive with a picture of a paedo on it!

The Gary Glitter hard drives are even cheaper, £1.49 for a 2TB SSD, but I couldn't bring myself to post that deal. I have my standards.

Although the Fred West kitchen knife set and the Harold Shipman sleeping tablet deals seemed to get a warm reception.

(have I gone too far? possibly, sorry for any offence caused)
i bought one of these in the amazon offer a few months ago, great little hard drive and i just leavi it in it's case
Nice one.

I'll post a pic up when i've defaced it.
great deal, voted hot as this is well cheap for a 500gb
My mate the Fonz, has one of these, and reckons its the fastest storage he has ever had, transfered all of his 'Private' home videos onto it and keeps it under a floorboard apparently. Steal at this price, im getting one now! HOT HOT HOT
no add to basket for me,

It might not be embossed.... but it is embarrassing. I bought one and just kept the cover on…. then took it out of the cover a week later to find Macaulay Culkin under there. Also I think the hard drive was broken cos there was this goo everywhere.
It's not expired.
it is, there is no add to basket, its out of stock!
dammit, it was in stock, i did a quick google to look for reviews, came back 5 mins later and is OOS.

looks like its expired :(
Absolutly gutted. I have one of these already, its an awsome drive!
Just managed to get one just before it went out of stock
It would appear they have sold out. Link now has an 'email me when back in stock' button where it had an 'add to basket' button before.

Alas, 11 minutes for a deal to sell out. My work here is done.
Absolutly gutted. I have one of these already, its an awsome drive!

Next cheapest about costs £10 more.
I have one of these - bought for £56 6months ago. Nice & light with a leather case + cable USB to MiniUSB(40cm long).

Heat Added :)
Orange will only send out half the orders if it is anything like the last one...waste of time unless you got in early. Great offer if you were lucky enough to get one though
If the picture on the front is anything to go by, this drive has a lot of modding potential :p
I'd grabbed 4 before I posted the deal, happy to have helped those that did manage to get 1.

I only went looking elsewhere as the Comet website is acting up, I would have been as happy getting the mains powered deals they have at £40.
Just how many of these things did they make? Hot though.
has anyone tried using this with an xbox 360?

i have tried 1 usb powered external drive, and despite moaning that it would be too slow and i would experience performance issues, it still did a 16gb xbox partition and ran perfectly.

the better half is getting me one for xmas and am hoping one like this would be perfect IF it comes back in stock
nice on OP, I got in just before the door shut
are these things made from MJ?
are these things made from MJ?

Thats jus wrong!!!

Thanks OP jus ordered before they all went!!!

Is it not getting too hot in the sleeve? My buffalo gets warm without a sleeve. I wouldn't dare put it in the sleeve when its on, maybe I'm wrong?

hmm.. I thought these were supposed to be "limited edition".
Limited to a couple a billion maybe ? oO
are these things made from MJ?

Are the housings made of plastic then ? (_;)
I think these drives have usb on the drive itself so no sata if you intend on removing the offending case.

Be careful when going through air-ports and customs as the old saying; no smoke without fire.
From ordering to being in my grubby mits in 19 hours.

Ebuyer can't deliver to my 'rural' part of the UK for free, and I can't get a delivery any quicker than 3 working days and I have to pay for it! And they never ever send it out until the day before the due delivery date, even though it's in stock, even though I've paid for my postage, even though other companies can turn it around in 19 hours from the other side of the country.

Their system automatically puts my postcode as 3 working days and scraps free deilivery. Another part of their system assumes I want it delivered that particular day so won't process the order till that particular day. What a terrible system. I hate ebuyer.
I have not had a dispatched email yet but they have took the money already, ordered at 13.50
