Ha ha, I do agree with you there :giggle: I am always buying things on the basis its a good deal but I dont always necessarily need it! I now have a gents watch! A knife set, a toaster, these pots
The list could go on but I wont bore you with the details :w00t: So yeah I see what you mean :giggle:

Even the original price seems a bit cheap - can someone comment on the quality of these pan sets? Are they ideal as a primary pan set? Thanks in advance.

Great price but it doesn't look like they are non stick so no good for me my kids know when teas ready when they hear the smoke alarm!!

A second set? How many burners does your hob have?

I've had this set for about a year now (I think!) and they are good pans, especially at this price. Bear in mind though that these are stainless steel so the heat distribution is uneven and can lead to hot spots and burning if you aren't careful. And, of course, the handles can get very hot, but on the plus side you can bang them in the oven without any problems. Obviously they are also not non-stick, but that's a bonus in my opinion ( I can do without a gut full of teflon!).

So, you get what you pay for and at a tenner I think these are good value, just don't let your kids anywhere near them!

I've also had these and hated them. Everything sticks to them and everything burns if you dont pay attention to what you're doing. save yourself some hassle and spend a little more for a non stick set.

I agree with all of the above - from hob to over without melted handles is a bonus for me. I think you can 'season' them for a bit of non stick, but at least you can use metal utensils ( I hate plastic potato mashers) without ruining the non-stick. And anything burned on I can just scrub off without damaging the non-stick.. (theres a pattern forming) :-P

Good deal voted hot.
