I know its not the best make in the world but this was £150 only a short time ago, in a limited one week only offer but starts the 10th Dec so should benefit from the lower vat rate 49.99 + VAT

Become the master of your TV experience : pause live TV rewind and watch timeshifted videos from start fast forward the boring sequences and replay the interesting ones whenever you want.

There is lots of info about this device and mixed reviews but at this price got to be good..

This is a good price, but I have owned two Sagem products (a router and set top box) and both crashed often so only warm from me.

Like I said it is not the best make and not worth the original price but imo well worth this sort of money as some freeview boxes are this money, everyones choice though

Is this the price before vat is added.
Do you have to be a member to use Makro.

Not a retail outlet, so voted cold.

No the price is £49.99 + VAT, and you just need to go with someone with a card, luckily there are not too strict on who gets a card so it is not normally an issue for people living near the stores..

since when has Makro been not allowed to be listed? Check up and you will see it is often on here. If it was not allowed it would be blocked

Cold as Ice!
I also have owned 2 Sagems - never again. Last one crashed every hour or so!
Last Thursday I picked up a Thompson TOP UP TV PVR from Tesco - reduced from £80+ to £59.98. 180 hrs & Setanta compatable etc. Seems OK but gives off a slight humming due to hard drive always being on.

If you believe it is that good why did you not list it? That what the site is for to help everyone know what bargains are out there.... I sure there be some Thompson haters out there but it may be okay. ....

I have the 250gb version of this and it's really good (especially when you take into account the price), the only diference with this one is the size of the HDD.

Just a little warning the 1st one I had woulnd't pick up any chanels at all but the 2nd one I had is fine.

All you need is a company letterhead that has the VAT number on it. Take it to the store fill in the application form; they will give you a day pass. Your card will be sent to the company address on the letterhead. You can have the MakroMail offers magazine sent to your home address

It was easy enough and I am not VAT registered. Makro's are not the cheapest stores but you do get some bargains there, especially if you fill your garage with toilet rolls!! :-D

Good value. Bought two of these. One for me and one as a Christmas gift. Easy to set up, easy to use, very very quiet operation - almost silent. Can record two channels and watch a recording at the same time, which I think is quite impressive for the price.

Nice to hear somebody likes Sagem! :-D

Well, I know their products are not the best for reliability. But the competition at this price is worse from the research I've done. And the capabilities of the product are worth putting up with the occasional hiccup. Even standard freeview boxes have their occassional problems.
