how is this a deal when it's the normal RRP? :?

cold from me, even if it is 4p
#3
i might give it a try on my chips as love chips n curry but hate the instant mix...for 4p you cant really go wrong can you..
#4

It can still be a deal based on the very cheap price even if it is the usual price.

Heat added to counterbalance this cold !!

Some people need to get a life, its a good heads up, I never knew about this, so its good to let people know good prices of stuff, even though its not on offer, thanks for the heads up OP

Ignore ppl like toonarmani

#8

I did actually (lol) at that:-D
#10
Did anyone ever post the salt prices?

Also is anyone willing to do a flavour comparison. If I'm spending 4p I want to make sure I have the best value for money!!!!
#11

I've tried this and its perfectly decent - not raging hot but not weak as nats pee either, for 4p its defo a barg
#15
I think i'll buy into this.
#16
Shame about the taste
#17
The jar probably costs more than its contents!
Seriously cheap price tho, whats in the ingredients??
#18
Any good receipes for this? other than, erm, curry?
#19
anyone, who can compare this with the asda/tesco variants? they are all 4p so taste will be the deciding factor for me.
#20
I had a asda curry the other day, by mistake messed a bit on my white door when chucking packaging in recycling. Next day wiped the curry off but it left a permanent yellowy stain on the door, no cleaning could get it off!

Makes me wonder what goes in this stuff.
#21
You would be better off using the mayflower curry powder much nicer than this stuff.
#22
great as a marinade...cut up some chicken breast and drop into a container of this sauce...seal overnight...pop under the grill...delicious...instant tikka

Totally agree....the sauce itself is really nice. I wouldn't use it for a curry as I'm particular about curries ....it has to be a lamb korma! However this sauce works well to mix with pasta for an easy cheap dish, or a side for another main dish.

4p is cold? You're a tool.
#26
I'm sure I've tried this one before and it was so think and goopey....still. Times are tight eh?
#27
ahh just went today, next week then, may as well give it a shot. Off topic but today I got the "large" deli roast chicken for £2 as it was getting late, I cant believe people buy it for £4, its not all that at all for one its medium and definitely not worth the original £4, not much on taste, just a light pasting before being roasted. I would probably just get a pizza next time.
#28
i might have to try this, but deb8z your shoes are hot as hell! We need more pics! lol
#29
I posted this in a comment last week!!!
but heah, a second shout out for the curry sauce never does any harm!!
And i don't even like curry sauce!!! LOL!!!!!
#30
Can deffo vouch for this, makes a nice side dish, has raisins in it too. not a hot sauce by any means, could always whack a bit of chili power in if you want more heat.
#31
I just have to register my displeasure at the fact the thread title contains the word 'aswell' - it's as bad as 'alot', 'abit' etc. :)
#32
Voted hot :)
I have had this before and it is nice on chips etc for dipping. I wouldnt necessarily use it to cook with chicken etc as we like hotter curries but It could however be perfect for kids or if you fancied something a bit milder.
Someone previously asked about the nutritional values, i thought the same when i first tried it and did a comparison. I couldnt believe it, this it so much better for you than 'the usuals'.
Here you go: Water, Tomato Purée (9%), Onion (5%), Maize Starch, Sugar, Lemon Juice From Concentrate, Sultanas (2%), Rapeseed Oil, Curry Powder (contains: Coriander, Turmeric, Rice Flour, Fenugreek, Cumin, Mustard Flour, Salt, Ginger, Black Pepper, Paprika, Chilli, Nutmeg, Fennel), Whey Powder, Salt, Spirit Vinegar, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Turmeric, Preservative: Sulphur Dioxide.
Dont knock it until you try it :)
#33
wow worth a try at 4p!!!!! I didn't know about it thanks. heat added. Every little heads up helps for a cheaper shop.
#34
this tastes yum !

Why would you want to know what is in the ingredients?
#36
Ive tried both asda and sainsburys ones.
Sainsburys has a little more bite than asdas which is a good thing.
We have had it over chips, added to chicken for a curry etc and for 4p well need i say more!
Except its very nice and worth every 4 penny!
( ps i know a cafe who actually uses this and sells it with there chips!!)
