Why is this hot? This is over £10 a kilo. I've eaten truffles which cost less than this.

Isn't it bang on £10/kg? But yeah, take your point. Nice cheese tho

Had some of these last crimbo they were about 2inch round & 1inch thick, 80p to me is about right if you ask me! Was nice cheese tho

Heh - I was going to post this one but I didn't bother (I bought the Cheddar, garlic and herb one).

Turns out this chess belongs in a toasty...a toasty deal.

I'll get my coat...

They have this one in morrisons also, it's really good, a mighty fine cheddar

Brilliant thanks. I get a selection of these every year for after Christmas. They usually have use by 5th Jan on them.

Yes and the festive market ones are 200g rather than 80g and much better quality than this mass-produced processed rubbish.

Have you noticed though that most years EVERYTHING Christmas related will have the same date on regardless of how long it really takes to go off. A few years ago I spotted this, for over 2 weeks every single crimbo cheese (and many other items) in Sainsburys had the 7th of Jan on it. All of them! Now are we expected to believe that every cheese was made on the same day? Or is it just a way to convince idiots to throw it away the week after new years and start buying stuff again?

On a side note: the Aldi white brie they're doing for Christmas (in the Christmas area of the fridge) is exceptional. 99p for 200g, I was having an absolute mouthgasm.

Throw it away, are you crazy??? Most cheese's expiry dates really mean "best after", it's cheese, most of them get better with age. :p

Nothing better than finding a bunch of reduced cheeses that actually taste better than full price ones <3

I love the cheese, but the rind is like eating candles oO

I have one of these wax-sealed cheeses that is 7 years out of date. Do you think it will be okay inside?

Oh don't get me wrong, I see best before almost as a challenge! I know people that would throw out savoury rice if its a week past its BBE though, so expect a lot fall for it. I only throw it if it obviously smells off, and my sense of smell is crap so very little wastage.

The main issue is touching the cheese with hands - just hold it with the cling film it's wrapped in, that should keep it from going mouldy for months (yes, my friends think I'm crazy for yelling at them for touching the cheese, but I regularly keep 10+ cheeses in my fridge, no way I can finish them within a few weeks of them touching all my cheeses! :'( )

Very tasty but adding all these extra flavours makes cheese not taste like cheese.
#34
Truckle made me chuckle...
#35
This is a con as a truffle should be taller than it is round. Cold.
