Sainsbury's Tomato Ketchup - 6p a bottle! 545g

For some reason, Sainsbury's are advertising them as 25p but they're actually 6p when they're scanned in. It's not an error on their side, they've been selling it for 6p for ages.

I've always used Heinz but this stuff isn't that bad actually. A lot thicker than Heinz and it tastes a lot "fresher".

My local store finally got them back in stock after about a month, so if you do happen to come across them, be quick!

Excellent stuff! The kind of supermarket deals we DO need.

Voted HOT!

is the sainsburys basics stuff or the one up from that? gos the basics stuff is S***e :P
Heat added regardless you cant really go too far wrong with 6p!

is it me...but it seems like all the ketchups these days are getting runny, including Heinz?

Ahhh...I remember the good old days of whacking the bottom of the glass bottle!

I recently complained about the Asda own brand and they kindly grave me a full refund and allowed me to have a larger bottle of Heinz ketchup ;)

heinz have changed the formulation and made it runnier ... this has really peeved me off big time as it's a blatant con to make more squirt out that required.

Might give the sainsburys stuff a try.

Heat addeed.

^lol. Come to think of it you may be onto something there.

My nan gave me a good tip for getting the most out of a ketchup bottle, and that's to put a little vinegar in and give it a good shake. Tastes great and wastes nothing!

Good deal btw, heat added!

It is actually from their Basic range, but I find it to be better than their "premium" stuff at times, especially this ketchup lol.

But as you say, you can't go wrong for 6p!

Maybe when im poor or on the streets i might consider this, but until then ill stick with decent stuff

You should try some of the Co-op stuff then. We bought some of their tartare sauce last night and it was like water!
#11
can't fault the price heat added
#12
sainsburys tomato sauce the one that is advertised at 20% cheaper than the brand names is better than heinz
#13
Thanks, Heat added
#14
I prefer Brown.
but at this price it's hot heat added

How does the saying go you can fool some of the people some of the time but!!!
Many products only have 1 or maybe 2 manufacturers, fact not fiction.;-);-);-)

So as long as you pay more for something, it is guaranteed to be better.
#17
Might taste like 6p worth, but its a hot deal!
#18
sainsburys "premium" own brand is better than heinz imo, no idea on the value stuff however but 6p....... bargain..
#19
As your typical Heinz buyer I took a gamble on a large bottle of Somerfield ketchup last week for the princely sum of 39p. It's not bad at all.
#20
Is this 6p in all stores? I went to a Central one today and it went through at 25p :?

So...you've tried it to make that comment then?

I can't really tell the difference between this and most other ketchups. That said, I don't use it very often as I prefer to drown things in mayonnaise instead.
#22
I take it we are talking about their basics range?
Scanned at 25p for me. Voted cold.
