Yummy! :-D

Not worth full price but these are very nice, I've had them a few times when on offer. I'm getting a bit fed up of these kind of offers on fresh foods though, the majority of people (outside of families) will not eat 2 full cheesecakes before the sell by date, why not just do a £1 discount?

cheese on cake?

A kind of cake made of cottage cheese or cream cheese, eggs, sugar, etc., usually baked with a bottom crust of crumbs.

good if you can't be bothered to make one but here's a cheap recipe that makes a much larger cheescake, and it's nicer imo (lighter texture).

For the top
- Grab two Sainsbury's basic cream cheeses (46p each i think)
- grab one small 150ml double cream (55p-ish)
- 1 lemon (30p)

For the base
- Pack of digestives (use about 12)
- add 70g butter
- some honey

- Crush biscuits in blender/food processor.
- Melt butter in saucepan, add the biscuits, add two tsp of honey.
- press down into 8" tin, leave in fridge for 30 min.
- Whisk the cream until it goes quite hard, add the zest of the lemon, and the juice.
- Add all the cream cheese, whisk until smooth
- add about 1 tablespoon of caster sugar, whisk in. If not sweet enough, add more. You want it to taste sweet but till have a cheese bitterness. If it's full on sweet it will over power once completed.
- put on top of biscuit
- leave in fridge for at least 24 hours for a firm texture. I never make it that far though lol.

This is a lot bigger than sainsbury's cheesecakes, and only for about £2.50 or so.

Offer is still on, picked up two Tarte Au Citron Cheesecakes, popped them in the freezer as I'm only 1/4 through my second Vanilla Cheesecake from last week.
