Cold. Not a deal. I suspect this is a general fall in fuel prices as petrol station at the end of my road that's normally expensive is 118.9p/l. We've also had nowhere near a fall in price equivalent to the drop in price of crude. Only a couple of pennies off a fill up. Once it gets back under £1 per litre then we're talking!

Sainsbury's fuel prices are not national.

Imagine what a boost to the economy sub £1 per litre prices would have.

Is that price here too most places. My local BP do cut price fuel if you buy a local paper for 30p. 4p off a litre.
I'm expecting it to come down below 1.10 in the coming months

We should have been having protests against fuel prices when it got close to £1.30. Unfortunately, the Government, in their infinite wisdom considers it a terrorism offence and they have special laws they like to use against terrorists.

I'm surprised it isn't nearer 1.10 already.

The last time petrol was < £1/litre was in Oct 2007 (98 p/litre). Crude oil is currently cheaper than it was in Oct 2007.

There have been increases in duty and VAT in that time, but the current price is still expensive relative to historical crude oil prices.

They don't actually pose any risk on a petrol forecourt.
