Anyone got a view of this vs the £9.99 Lidl one?

I like both Lidl and Aldi champagne and consideting how quickly it gets drunk in my house, everybody else has no complaints about them either!

Anyone got a view of this vs the £9.99 Lidl one?

The Scotsman have a view on this:

SAINSBURY’S CHAMPAGNE ANTOINE DE CLEVECY BRUT NV
(£13, Sainsbury’s)
Not popular with tasters. Skinny, lean, lacking lustre and appeal.

LIDL CHAMPAGNE COMTE DE BRISMAND BRUT NV
(£12.99, Lidl)
Creamier and sweeter than Aldi’s blend, but finishes short with a confected taste; would suit those with a sweet tooth.

? Not sure this is the Lidl one you refer to?

The Aldi one came out top in that review:

ALDI CHAMPAGNE VEUVE MONSIGNY BRUT NV Philizot & Fils
(£12.99, Aldi)
Clean and attractive fruits and very quaffable – for those who like a dry, crisp zippy fizz; pretty good for the price. BEST VALUE BUY

Champagne, like any wine, varies over time. Two bottles of this can be totally different. Reviews are generally pointless.

Of course, reviews are also subjective. So, best advice is to buy a few and try them, then go back and buy some more of the ones you like. :p

Anyone aware of any deals on a demi sec champagne (or similar)? Tend to find most champagne much too dry and tend to enjoy wine better but no expert.
