Kind of scary, really, that its just gone down to the launch price of the original DS over five years ago.

Still at least all the DSi/DSlite cost cutting thats going on at the moment hopefully means that the 3DS is going to launch at under £150.00.

Finally at a price that reflects the product

#7

Shame it does not include the pink one , have just spent 30 mins ringing around a lot of the Kent stores and the pink is still £149.99 for the style boutique bundle

"offer applies to all DSi consoles"

No it doesnt unfortunately , I have just rung at least 10 stores in Kent and all their pink DSi's are £149.99 , the black , white and red though ARE £99.99 , just gutting as daughter wants the pink one .

ETA : It may be as the pink one is the style boutique bundle one not just the console like the red , white and black ones are

Interestingly the sainsburys website sell the DSI XL so if this applies to "all DSI consoles" I wonder if the stores stock them? Im kicking myself for not looking earlier but I guess Sainsburys would argue the DSI is a DSI XL and not a DSI:whistling:

You can guarantee they would argue the fact ! I am just gutted as daughter wants the pink one for her birthday , just tried to persuade her white , black and red are lovely colours too but she is having none of it

Rang my local, have about a dozen red, white and black ones in stock. XL is still £149.

Personally, can't stand the DSi XL and I guess a lot pf people are gonna wait and see how much the 3DS will be as it is the most noticable update in technology for 4 generations of DS.
#16
Have to agree, having used a DSi XL briefly for the first time recently I'd say it's much less comfortable and the screen is much more pixelly than the DSi. Great for older / accessibility concious buyers but a worse experience for everyone else.
#17
I've been trying to sell my blue DSi at this price for months, this makes it worse!

I was simply just stating what it says on the POS label. So you can go and argue in store that it is false advertising.

Just a thought but couldnt you buy the red or white one and get a "skin" from ebay or something, they sell for a few pounds and they do different designs, have seen loads of Hello Kitty ones or even Disney Princesses. Just search DSi skins...HTH

What do you think is better?
A ds lite for £75 or dsi for £100?
I'm not sure what to get now!
#21
wait and get 3DS looks pretty cool
#22
They're only getting rid of these because of 3DS coming out soon. Save your money guys. Cold
#23

How much will it be though? If they end up being £250, they'll start putting the DSi prices back up :-D

I love it. The guy wants a gaming device, was thinking of getting a DS Lite for £75 but might be able to stretch to £100 for a DSi. What's the advice he gets? Get nothing, sit 5 moths with nothing and then get a device that is nobody has seen and is likely to be quite expensive and hard to get in the Christmas rush. Maybe £200+ initially, who knows.

If you can afford to and want the extra functionality e.g. cameras and bigger screen get the DSI, this is the first UK wide accessible retailer to sell it at this price I think- WHS Smith did but that was patchy and few were in stock

I have reserved one of these anyway as its for my daughters 5th birthday this pink DSi but if I got the white , red or black one she would go mental ! It has got to be pink , just like her pink DS lite .

Voted hot.

I know there have been a few posts about the R4i card which is compatible with DSi. Is there a consensus on which is the best one. Any advice would be much appreciated.
#35
Got one today - Castle Vale.

Ezepze - I've ordered the red box version, from r4i.co.uk, used the code SLAM40M to get 40% off - don't know if its the best.
#36
