Big thanks to 'Fliss M' over at MSE for this post.

The Star Wars Prequal Trilogy and the Origanal Trilogy, dvd boxsets, £12 each and Alien Quadrilogy £10. Only in Store.

If they don't have them on display go and ask at Customer Services. They weren't on display at our local store (Dartford) but when asked someone went and got them for us. I believe they are due to go on shelves today.

Also being put out were loads of cheap DS, PS3 and Wii games from £1. It was madness apparently. Customers and staff all scrambling to get them. We managed to get Sega Bass Fishing (Wii) for £2!!

Good luck!

Any idea if the 'original' trilogy films are the proper originals, or are they the remixed ones with the extra CGI and the ghost-Anakin?

One of the most exhilarating and influential trilogies in the history of motion pictures, George Lucas's sci-fi spectacular continues to capture the hearts and minds of individuals throughout the world. This release features the original STAR WARS trilogy (episodes IV-VI) in one glorious package. Contains both the original theatrical version of each film and the digitally restored and remastered versions.

Maybe not but its such a large part of popular culture that it has certainly had an immense effect at least.

Check again or ask at customer services, you might be surprised.

All of these offers will be dependant on when each store puts the stock out, but they should have some (or had some).

seeing as the star wars boxset is available online for near enough £4 more than the price in sainsburys I'd say its hardly an amazing deal.

Cheapest I could find it anywhere else was £18 (£17.99 Play.com & £17.98 Amazon).

I make that a £6 saving on each box set ? Not bad if you ask me....

I've been studying each frame contained in the Back to the Future box set so I can unravel the secret of making a time machine, that way I can go back and assassinate George Lucas before he ruined Star Wars (and to a lesser degree Indiana Jones). His endless tinkering with the classic franchise is one thing, but the prequels are terrible, awful movies not much better than Battlefield Earth. If they didn't have Star Wars in the title people would see them for what they are.

PS. Hot deal if you are one of the blind few unable to see how terrible the prequels are!

Gonna get me down to Sainsburys later. Cheers OP

Think I'm the only person in the world that actually quite enjoyed the prequels - well, except for Phantom, obviously...clone wars, especially, I thought wasn't that bad.

Shockingly I don't have the original trilogy, so might grab one, ta OP.

Thought the info on games would have been posted by now. I picked up a coiuple of 360 games for a a £1. Champ manager 2006 and 2007. There was some Ps2 games for a £1 too. They are also putting out fresh stock, not sure if this is daily. I was told that this had something to do with Woolworths, and they share the same supplier. If this is true then there will be plent more stock as there are no Woolwoths open now. Good hunting.

Hot deal

Hot deal ! Just got the 4/5/6 Trilogy Star Wars as they haven't got anymore stock of 1/2/3....shame as I wanted them too
They also have different series of 24 and Prison Break for around £15-£17 mark
#39
None in Wallington Sainsburys. Anyone in Surrey got lucky with these deal yet?
#40
Thanks very much - got mine in Telford. Plenty left in stock.

Also the XMen trilogy for £8.

:D

...and yes, I agree - life wouldn't be the same without Star Wars. As a child of the early 80's it was very influential. Heroes, villains and general good story about good and evil. More interesting than the bible at that age. ;)
