It's a saving of 85p, that's got to be better in your pocket than Sainsburys coffers!
It's rather tasty too!

Enjoy!

But I'm not that keen on trifles, wouldn't buy one for myself.

Is there actually any 'real' fruit within?

Is there actually any 'real' fruit within?

Strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants in a raspberry flavoured jelly, topped with sponge, custard and decorated with sweetened whipping cream

Apologies I don't know if the fruit is 'fruit substitute' but it looked real to me.

Then grow a pair and tell your children that the bogey man will come and get them in their sleep if they don't eat the Sainsburys Summer Fruit trifle!!!

Look at the life you are creating for yourself - being dictated to by your children. Your future life is going to be one of doing what they want when they want. Cooke, cleaner, maid and chauffeur!

No! No more! It stops now. A line must be drawn in the sand. Report back when you have them eating brussel sprouts for breakfast and fearing the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

Technically this is a trifle but the "sponge" layer in this is a joke. It might just be a slice of bread in disguise?

I'm more of an Angel Delight man myself, it does exactly what it says on the tin (well, packet).

I remember when I first arrived in this beautiful country, 17 years ago, I discovered trifles. What a revelation! I was hooked on them. The most expensive one was £2! Look at them now... Life is getting more and more expensive but our wages don't go up as fast.!
Thank god for posts like this one. I can now indulge my family! Hot for me.
