PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING

Guys we've decided to try this out and see how it goes. There have been a lot of supermarket deals on the forum lately, so we've decided to ask that they be kept in one thread for each of the major retailers. This will be here for your reference every time you log on.

If you have spotted a good deal at your local Sainsburys, please post it in here. Please try to include as much detail as you can in your post, such as the selling price, the weight/quantity, the brand, the saving, the regular price, price comparisons, etc etc.

If you post Sainsburys deals in a thread of their own, it is likely the deal will be removed and you will be asked to re-post in here. The only exception to this would be when that particular deal is available online at the special price, in which case, the individual thread would be allowed to stay.

These threads are for general everyday items, food deals, BOGOF offers and such. Seperate threads are still advisable for "hot deals", which we have seen a few of in the past on HUKD.

Note: ALL general banter and discussion will be removed, we'd like to keep this as concise as we can. If you wish to discuss the issue of supermarket deals, we have discussion threads in the comments forums.

Thanks!

I could only see Brakspear Bitter at this price. Good deal though.

They also have Beck's Lager 20 x 275ml (5% Abv) at 3 for £24. Needless to say, this has been cheaper at Tesco recently, but right now, I think this is the best deal for quality imported lager.

I have :), although I did not go mad cause I aint a heavy beer drinker...... unlike 1 chap whom cleared the whole shelf of Brakespear. Maybe I should have told him where more of the stock was hiding ;-)

I found only 2 brands, the other being Usher Founders 94p

EDIT: Crumbs Explorer threw a wobbly, I'm not drunk yet

Our favourite half pricers are the Powerade 4 pack (£1.45) and the chocolate fudge cake (£2.49). We have also gone through good few McVities Golden Syrup cakes (50p or so). The 55 Chicken Nugget frozen pack is a good price too (£1.30odd).

Popped into my local store (Chelmsford) yesterday where they had a stool setup inside by the entrance offering 3 beers at knockdown prices.

All beers had a Sainsbury's 25% off offer & by purchasing at the stool you were given a 50p coupon to reduce the offer even further :-D

1 coupon per beer sold!

Beer's on offer:-

Bulmers, Kronenbourg Blanc & Strongbow Sirrus Cider.

Kronenbourg Blanc £1.57 - 50p coupon (£1.07)
Strongbow Sirrus £1.26 - 50p coupon (76p )
Bulmers Cider £1.57 (I think) - 50p coupon (£1.07)

Free tasting too :!:

Enjoy :)

Our local sainsburys have been selling kids clothes at half price or less, managed to get 2 TU t'shirts at £1 each.
They'd also got all bbq charcoal and instant lighting stuff at half price and some outdoor toys games with a 75% reduction. There was a sports day box at £1.99 from £9.99 that included egg and spoons, bean bags, toss the hoop and another one. Not bad considering the individual price you'd pay in ELC.

I believe this is 20 x 300ml bottles, but still a good deal.

I just got an email to say that Sainsbury's are currently doing 20 x 275ml bottles of Carlsberg Export for £7.49. In Tesco, the 20 x 275ml bottle packs of Carlsberg Export (which cost £13) currently come with an extra 4 bottles of Carlsberg Edge for free, so if Sainsbury's have these packs, you could get 24 bottles for £7.49.

I'll 2nd that. Tis always a bit of a chore looking for these threads.

They're not very popular guys... as you may have seen from the temperature... just set a bookmark for the "supermarket deals" tag perhaps...
?
#26
The St Hellier Pear Cider was very popular for me..... I nearly raided the whole nationwide stores :) :giggle:

That deal does not appear to be in this thread as I suspect a new thread was made because this one was not around to be seen. Thus suggesting there are very popular deals but submitted under thier own post.

I am not sure why this so cold..these offers always come handy..:?

The trouble is if you've voted for one product in the thread you can't vote for another so the Temp meter is not a true reflection of the popularity of these items.

20x275ml Carslberg Export for £7.49.

For anyone who missed the dedicated thread on it, Becks 20 x 275ml has now replaced the Carlsberg Export on the half price offer at £7.49. Obviously, this is a genuine imported and in my opinion, far superior beer, so this is a really good deal. Remarkably, after the success of their Carlsberg Export promotion, Sainsbury's still feel able to publish the following blatant lie on the their website: 'Carlsberg Export 20x275ml Save £5.00 was £14.99 now £9.99'.

Caulcano
2 round tins of "Celebrations" for £10 (I think that was the price).

These are actually 2 for £12.

As previously posted, Mars Celebrations Tins 1kg, are £8.99 each or 2 for £12.

However, they also have Mars Celebrations Recyclable Tub 975g on introductory offer at £4.49 until October 9th, so if you don't want a tin, this is a far cheaper option.

Sainsburys own-brand baby wipes are on BOGOF, and as they are priced at £1.07 for a pack of 80, this makes them loads cheaper than the 'big brands'. There's no limit to how many you can buy.

The 'wipes on a roll' are on the same offer, but I don't know how much they are.
