anyone know if this would be instore too?
#2
Yes it is i brought it half an hour ago meant to say available instore and online.
#3
hot offer from me then buy now for presents at crimbo
#4
unfortunately the usual suspects and no decent sauvignon blanc.

good stuff to take to parties though, looks good and you dont have the drink it yourself:thumbsup:
#5
Campo Viego Crianza normally sells for £6-£7 a bottle, so cracking value here.

The Castillo Diablo stuff is normally around £6 so that's excellent value as well.

Some of the other stuff, eg Porta Merlot is marked at £7.99, but might be a case of banging up the price to make it look like more of a bargain?

Also, 5% off if you buy 6 bottles also applies, am just back and got 12 bottles for £35.42, result!
#6
There are over 50 wines in this offer, Makutu Bay is in the offer and is usually £9.99 for one bottle.
#7
Just come back and got six decent bottles of red, normal price up to £9.99, for £17.42 including the 5% discount. Should have been £51.44. 1Absolutely amazing deal.
#8
Most of this stuff looks like the usual cheap stuff marked up to mark it back down again. Would appreciate any insight into any really gems here.
#9
other point to note - the 5% discount is taken off the full single bottle price, so instead of getting £1 off when you buy 6 for £20, you get circa £2.50 off, so the actual discount is more like 10-12%

Fantastic deal

6 bottles of Banrock Station @ £9.99 per bottle = £59.94 - 5% for six bottles + £10 for 3 promotion Total paid £17.
#11
Just got back from Sainsburys myself - 6 x Bottles of Kumala Zenith for £17.30.
Very pleased that they take the extra 5% at full retail price - that'll teach them to bump up the original price

The First Cape and Kumala wines might fit that description but I find the Hardy's Crest an excellent White. Jacob's Creek is pretty good too. Hope this helps

Banrock Station £9.99???? I doubt anyone has ever paid that for it!

Good deal overall though...even though most of the quoted original prices are artificially inflated by Sainsburys.
#14
Great deal. These are normally worth about £4 a bottle so £3 is a good deal.

Banrock Station @ £10!!!! LMFAO

Note that this offer is the Kumala Zenith - not the bog standard Kumala Cape... hot from me!

In general these are all awful wines. These are incomparable to what you can buy at independent wine shops. Horses for courses though, people seem to want this and there's not much money going round at the moment. As a rule though I will not touch, Jacob's Creek, Banrock Station, Echo Falls, Blossom Hill, Hardy's et al.
#20
Could someone assist me in picking the best red wines to go for? I do like my red wine but my judgement is hit and miss at times...so would appreciate some advice on the best value and best tasting wines to go for.

Many thanks

rob

P.S. Wine tasting weekend in wroxeter next wkend to!

I was about to post the same thing. just bought some hardys from my local sainsbury. Thank you op for saving me some work, voted hot!

anyone have any idea about expiry date of wine? i have no idea about how long i can keep them, thanks for any advise in advance.
#26
Excellent, 15 bottles ordered, no 5% discount online and the voucher didn't work :( But at least we've got the wine we want for a great price.
#27
This is a great deal. I bought 15 bottles which came to a total of £124.30. After the discounts £43.45.

I may not be a wine connoisseur like MintyMat, but at least I've got some friends that'll appreciate it over Christmas!:santa:

The Makutu Bay Sauvingnon Blanc is really good and I could not believe that it was on the 3 for £10 I was soo excited that I have Purchased 24 bottles, and I do not like cheap wine, This is a New Zealand Marlborough and you cannot go wrong with this, its gorgeous!!
I can guarantee that this wine will sell fast so I am stocking up!! It works out les than 3 quid a bottle and thats hard to come by these days for a decent bottle! Tesco tried to sell the £3 Lateral sauvingnon Blanc but it really was cheap and nasty, I find Sainsburys wines much better!!
Rant over LOL:thumbsup:
#29
Agree with the above post, the Makatu is lovely....get in fast.

Campo Viejo Rioja is one of the nicest mid range bottles out there IMO, a steal at 3 quid a bottle, gotta be fast though...early morning is a winner!
#30
might worth a bit of extra saving for delivery through quidco!
£10cashback for a new customer registration and purchase via the grocery section of the site
delivery charge is around £3.5-5 ,effectively its a further £5ish saving if quidco pays
#33
It's the usual s chit they always reduce. Most of it is £3 to£4 a bottle at best. Go for it if you like but it aint a great deal most of it is horrible.
I'll start thinking thiese deals are good when they start including some that ARE usually priced at the pre offer price.

................I aint no snob. I like cheap wine and I like a deal, this is just not one.

a deal is a deal, like the early reply said the Castillo Diablo is normally £5+ , so thats at least buy 2 get one free without any futher tricks
it may not be a perfect deal for everyone but certainly a saving for some people
#35
I obviously have no taste as I think the Hardys Crest Cabernet Sauvignon is very drinkable and at £2.83 a bottle a serious bargain - yes you can often get it for £4.99 a bottle but it's still a 40% saving.

follow the link, the same wine, Reserve Chardonnay Verdelho £9.49 @ Tescos.

Lol at all the folk who think they know about wine and are disparaging of the wines on offer. These are quaffing wines and damn good value. If you want a decent wine at a decent price try Chateau Bauduc

I'm sorry but you're VERY wrong. Unlike so many similar deals there are some very good wines in this one.
Campo Viejo Rioja Crianza leaps off the page for me!

At the end of the day, if you like it it's good, if you don't it isn't. No one can tell you what to like but if there really isn't anything here you enjoy you have very strange taste buds - better search out some Blue Nun I reckon, or just stick to the White Lightning!

Sweeping generalisations like yours are ridiculous (and presumably designed to get the thread going a little?!).

Thats utter rubbish and you no absoulutely nothing about wine....there is rubbish in the deal. However the Makutu bay, Campo viejo rioja crianza are most excellent wines.. Hardys crest is also of good quality. You say you like cheap wine..so try the jp chenet thats in the deal. Just stay away form the bottles i mentioned early as you only like cheap wine.. you will not appreciate the other bottles.
#39
Took the advice and got 12 bottles of Hardys crest red was £119.88 with 5% discount , paid £34 saving £85.88. I know the prices are hyped but its £2.83 a bottle for good wine.
#40
Excellent offer. There are a good three or four cracking reds here for circa £3 a bottle once the 5% discount is applied for buying six (or twelve, or... he he).
Cheers :-D
