I see in the description it says this is the NTSC version!! Are the X-Boxes region free? Will this play on PAL tv's i thought NTSC was coded differently! I have just bought an xbox 360 60gb for my sons crimbo! I have got him this game anyway but i thought i would ask these questions for future reference!

Has anyone here played this? I know it's got good reviews, but the footage I have seen looks rubbish!

Anyone who has actually played it care to give me an honest opinion

I thought it was great fun to be honest. 8/10 from me.

Loads to do, and loads of hidden islands around the city which is actually quite cool too.

I sold it after completing it because I'm so into Fifa 09 atm, but I'll probably get it back at some point to keep going through the side games.

This game must not be region locked. As long as you got LCD TV it will make no difference as I have never seen a TFT/LCD that does not do NTSC 50/60Hz as well as PAL 50/60hz.

An older style TV should be OK if it's about 2-4 years old. Older TV's will be hit n miss even 2-4 years old you may get b/w piccy or unstable unusable picture. You will be OK though.

its a great game - well worth £25 better than gta4

It will be region free and work on any 360 but you wont be able to trade it in at places like GAME/GAMESTATION due to it having a different barcode.
#10
You can get it cheaper with the 6 month FHM subscription deal + you get the mag too for around £17 IIRC. You'll have to wait a month or so for it to turn up though

Wow, that's a great price. Have heard mixed things about the game though....
#13
This is a £4.99 based offer meaning should be bought with another item worth £4.99 to get this price :)
#14
excellent this is what my brother wants for christmas so i've been looking out for a deal on it, thanks.
#15
I rented this game for PS3 and hated it. No thanks.

The game seems more like a sequel to GTA San Andreas than GTA IV was.

As the graphics and motion styles are very similar.

This game is funny though, I literally laughed out loud when the old black lady judge came charging at me with a shotgun during the court escape mission.

Definitely not something you'd see on Judge Judy.

I am about to get this game via an FHM subscription ( see http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/263102/fhm-subscription-free-saints-row-2-/ ).

Not bad for £30 including 12 mags, just crossing my fingers that I get it.

voted hot, great price for a great game. It's like the old gta games (vice city etc.), not like the new serious, less fun gta4.
#19
Still waiting to get a UK Pal version for about £20... or less. Great price though, but I will hold out.
#20
Switch off your brain and blow things up :) this is fun like GTA3 was and a lot less serious!

I spent about 10 hours just playing around before i even started missions!

Good price if you find something good for 4.99

Sweet. Seems like a great deal to me and I used to read FHM but haven't for years but if it is free then hey...

Also got £6 tracked by Quidco (so £24 for the game & mags!!) but didn't find anywhere to stick the £2.50 voucher code so missed that.
