Vegetables yes, fruit perhaps(you need to watch out on the fructose but rice is high carb so not so good when it comes to losing weight I think.

There is also badshah for the same price http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/badshah-basmati-rice-5kg-5-00-asda-2075529 and better rice in my opinion

It is for regular long grain, but £1/kg is my target price for a good Basmati. Basmati has much better flavour, is a denser rice and seems to goes further than long grain. This is a good price, though I don't know how good a Basmati this brand is? I agree with the earlier comment that Badshah Basmati is pretty good, as is Kohinoor.

I dint like this rice it goes to mush too quick.
#12
Purchased this in tescos earlier today. Nothing to suggest it's on special offer.

Akash basmati is a lot lot better than this - in fact I found Akash to be better than kohinoor Gold but slightly inferior to expensive Tilda basmati rice.

Have tried this in the past and it does go mushy too easily. Avoid. Good basmati shouldn't.

Akash Basmati rice was £8 for 10kg
