Just ordered myself a Refurbished Laptop from Dixons and after signing in to my account and just before entering Card details it seems to deduct about 20% from the advertised price (no code needed). PLEASE NOTE YOU HAVE TO BE SIGNED IN AND CONFIRM EVERYTHING UPTO JUST BEFORE ENTERING CARD DETAILS.

Can't see any ads for a sale and no idea how long it will last or whether it is a glitch but thought it was worth a post.

Intel Core i3's from £271.99
Intel Core i5's from £303.99
Intel Core i7's from £399.99 - MUST BE THE CHEAPEST I7 AVAILABLE.

ALL COME WITH 12 MONTH WARRANTY.

THOUGHT IT WAS BEST TO INCLUDE ALL IN ONE THREAD RATHER THAN CLOGGING UP THE FORUM WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL ONE AVAILABLE.

WILL TRY AND INCLUDE LINKS IN 1ST POST TO THE POTENTIAL BEST BUYS BUT PROBABLY MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE THAN ME WHO CAN FIND THE BEST DEALS.

Will try and post links to the best deals here if I get the chance but thought it best to include all in this one thread rather than making numerous posts for each individual laptop - most will be better than me at picking the best deals.

bought few: one with one dead pixel, two with light scratch, one with dent, and 5 like new (cancelled orders i think)

Variable and very poor quality control from my experience but they will take them back so worth a punt. They usually go very quickly so don't 'ang around.

Think that title was edited after I had posted this deal (original deal was for a single netbook).Mods feel free to expire this thread if you think it is a duplicate.

+1

Previously i ordered a batch of three refurbished from them. One was DOA, one went faulty inside 4 months (refund) and the other was fine.

I ordered another before christmas and is blue screened on startup. Returned it for a full refund.

Where is i3 laptop under £300? I could not find anyone. Can't vote hot.

I ordered a few laptops when they were £100. 3 were fine (one had a dead pixel but hey) but the fourth had a temperamental touchpad and blue screened a couple of times so I sold to a guy at work.

At least another 6 or 7 coming in at less than £300 (have you definately signed in and went to final stage to get the discount). Just tried myself and works fine.

Be careful with Dixons - once you get your laptop run full checks to see if everything's alright, even though the laptops should be fully tested. Mine had less ram than it should have had. Contacted them and got it upgraded. The next day I checked the hard drive and it had plenty of bad sectors. Reported it to Dixons and got told to send it back for a full refund. Won't be buying laptops from them again :(

Sorry, this i7 is Cold!

For £30 less using code PCLAP30 + 3% quidco
You can get a brand new, 2nd gen i3 Acer in Blue or Black, which is only slightly slower cpu wise http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
but has the added benefit of a newer architecture which should in real world use be faster, USB 3 and a LED screen.

Tried a couple of the codes, eg, PCLAP30 but doesn't let you combine the offers. However, you can still get 3% Quidco .

If you use your own discount code such as "PCLAP30", it just replaces their higher discount rather than adding to it. So for the i7 above, instead of £100 discount you'd only get the £30 the code gives you!

I'm pretty much a noob in computers , but - it kinda doesn't make sense having i5, i7 if everything else is most certainly cheap stuff.

Avoid Celeron and go for an i3 if you want it to run at respectable speed!

List which Celeron models are available and someone should help; I'm not going to trawl through the Dixons site for you.

T3500 can be upgraded to i3, i5, i7 - so you'll get most value if you decided to do this later on, or know someone who can do it for you

P.S my pick of the bunch is the HP Envy 17 ...around £720 after the discount - massive saving there on RRP

Toshiba - great brand, i5 - great cpu, £303 - great price. Refurb from DSG - utter garbage.

It's been marked 'refurb' for a reason, if you think it's been called like that because it's somebody's 'change of mind' - most likely you are wrong.
