I'm on my second pair of these now. Bought the first pair 3 years ago, travelled around the world in them and regularly used them for running, as well as just kicking about in. The mesh upper has just started to go and the treads are getting low. Pretty good for three years solid use.
Not sure that these actually retail for £90 but well worth paying for the Go Outdoors membership to get them at this price. These are the none Goretex version - I've heard the Goretex ones get a bit sweaty...
The Men's Salomon XA PRO 3D Ultra 2 Trail Running Shoes are light, durable and stable trail running shoes with a breathable mesh upper for contemporary cool and comfy feel on the hills.
These lightweight low profile shoes help correct your natural gait with pronation control so you run more efficiently and healthily.
The midsole is made with a dual density EVA on a shaped EVA footbed that provides cushioning to the foot whilst the streamlined profile means you won't feel weighed down.
Because the XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 is designed for steep, muddy trails, the outsole is made with running specific Contragrip® for a better hold, whilst the rubber belt and rubber toe cap protect your feet from injury on the descent run. Their gusseted tongue keeps out debris, and a mud guard keeps dirt from compounding.
Asymmetrical lacing on a Quicklace™ and Sensifit™ system provides fit management so the XA Pro stay on in all conditions.
The low weight, low profile XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 from Salomon are an excellent choice for experienced trail runners.
