PLEASE NOTE: This oven frequently goes out of stock, and the item disappears from the page. But it usually comes back in a few days when stock is replenished.

I missed it twice but caught it the third time, when it came back.

So if the item/page has gone give it a few days to come back before you mark it as expired. :)

This looks almost identical to the £49.99 version.
But lacks only a few pointless utensils.

The £49.99 version boasts 'combination of halogen, convection and infrared heat', but I think that is all just marketing jargon, basically the two ovens are the same thing! Right? :{

Not sure if there is much difference but at £30 they are worth buying.

does anyone know of any of these that have the 'latched arm' so that you dont have to place the lid on the worktop when opening it?

The ones with a hinge, have an obvious hinge on the back of the unit.
I read if you are small, old or weak, the hinge versions are a lot easier to use. Albeit harder to clean.
Plus if you have cupboards above, it might be harder to open without being restricted.

I know this is an old thread but thought I'd post to see if anyone actually bought one. I was wondering if they were any good? hope someone reads this. :)

Yeah, I bought 2, one for me, one for the folks.
It's great. Just as good as any of the other brands. I've had three different brands: JML, Andrew James, and now this.
They don't last forever, but they are so handy!

I was initially a little confused by buzz words such as 'combination of halogen, convection and infrared heat, making me think some had advantages over the other. to be honest, they all kind of mean the same thing, and there is very little difference between models.
I may be wrong, but I see no difference.

Looks like they are back in stock. I mentioned in my post "This oven frequently goes out of stock, and the item disappears from the page. But it usually comes back in a few days when stock is replenished", but some people love to hit that EXPIRE button! lol :)

Buy one and don't look back :)

The reason I was asking was because I saw it on a leaflet for the factory shop but it was the other one which is the low fat fryer and halogen and it was 39.99 in there. I'm not sure what the difference is but I'm guessing that the fryer one would do chips and onion rings etc better. Other than that I cant see much difference but they only have the fryer one at the Factory shop but still £39.99 seemed like a good price if it was any good!

To be honest, I think the 'fryer' version, just comes with a metal mesh basket thingy...
I picked a material one up from Poundland:

I too weighed up the pros and con's, heck, I even called up Salter! lol

I seriously believe the £29.99 version is all you'll ever need! :)
I do oven chips and onion ring all the time in mine.
Anything else they say higher models can do, is just marketing jargon, or a metal tray you'll never use, and will clutter your kitchen.
