Got these. Heat for a pretty good scale.

Word of warning - DO NOT lose the instructions! Mine vanished (bloody fairies) and I haven't been able to find any on the net or elsewhere, and these scales are a bit complicated to use IMO.

#7

#8
Bodyfat % readings are off by +-2% for me

Thanks just what I was after

I'm not sure about the accuracy, have these and depending on where on the floor you put them you get different weight readings (non carpet), so be sure to use the same spot all the time
#16
How accurate are these just for bodyweight? not bothered by 1 or 2% but no good if they vary by a kg.

If your weight is over 50KG then 2% is at least 1KG.

If only domestic body fat scales worked....................
#19
Gimmick and at this price provides very low accuracy. Caliper method much better.
#20
We already have these scales, great price!!
#21
great scales, got these in may and paid £11.99, highly recommend!

Never had any problems with giving different readings as other people as mentioned...

Don't know about these..... but we bought some salter scales a while back (union jack on) and they are hopeless

They give us one reading then if you step off and back on they give a different reading oO
#23
Waste of time.
Total gimmick.

How can you tell how much it is off by? (Genuine question)

Only by using a decent body fat caliper - and knowing how to use it properly, of course.

This type of scales just measures resistance up one leg and down the other. There's a HUGE amount of potential variation. What's almost always consistent, however, is how wrong they are. I don't mean that to be funny - the % of body fat that it gives you will likely be inaccurate, but it should still (all other things remaining the same) give you a reasonably idea of any changes in your body fat %.

i.e. the number it gives you is relatively useless, but it should demonstrate your progress as you lose fat.

That's a broad brush theory across electrical body fat measuring things - no personal experience with this set.

Thank you. That's what I read elsewhere

These report my bodyfat 20% higher than my bedroom mirror.

These things can't accurately measure body fat it's pure guesswork. Only reliable method is a medical scan or caliper method.

Gimmick.

Don't buy. These can be up to 7 percent inaccurate. They go buy electrical conductivity. Buy the acupressure style calipers from ebay for a few quid and get it done accurate. It is what I use on my clients and other bodybuilders. These things are terrible. Sorry op but I needed to let it be known lol

I needed a new set after the last ones got a bit damaged, my temper gets the better of me at times. These scales don't sound very reliable which is how Salter scales are in my experience because I made the mistake of purchasing some Salter kitchen scales and they are very inaccurate. I now avoid Salter products because they are low quality, poorly performing crap.

I don't think that I would have these if they were giving them away and only charging for delivery.

Cold from me.

expired i guess its £18 now gutted

no longer on offer

A mirror is the best guide to excess body fat, but judging from the state of many of the public, it seems a lot either don't have them, ignore them or afraid to look in them.
Apart from that, for most purposes, any electronic scale is good enough as long as yourself around the same time each day. The same goes for simple mechanical scales.

Amazon have put the price up on these scales from £8-99 then£12-99 plus postage now £18-00 probable because everybody's taking a interest.SHAME ON THEM

Amazon exists to make as much money as it can - and to pay as little tax as it can. It will charge as much as it can get away with charging, and I don't think I've ever seen the words Amazon and shame linked together!

The only price I can see is £18.78! How to I get the cheaper price?
#39
Already have these and they are very accurate

Tried to get these price coming up at £18.86 anyone else had this problem?
