lidl are doing some Digital Kitchen Scales for £4.99 on thursday, but i dont think they are as good as these.
Thanks for the tip esims84, its always good to know of an alternative :)
Salter have been around a long time and good barnd :) But worth weighing up the alternatives too :giggle:
Speaking of alternatives, they still have that fantastic EKS Electronic Glass Platform Scale (ref. 8407849) posted here by rayman a month ago.

It does the same job (exactly the same specifications & warranty), costs about the same price (slightly less actually, at £12.49 but Salter is a trusted name), and has a modern kind of design instead, depending on your kitchen style. I got myself one and so far it does what it says! :-D

Now you're spoilt for choice! :giggle:

Voted hot still!
Thanks for this. Just ordered mine. Rep left and voted hot
just picked mine up - thought it didn't work but the batteries weren't clipped in. works a treat now - thanks for the tip OP - just what weve been looking for!
davebach172, is the glass bowl an integral part of the scales, or was it just used for photography? Thanks!
I purchased some Salter scales from Robert Dyas about three months ago:

They are still on offer at £9.99, and I think they are better because they are a lot smaller.

But the argos ones are still a good deal so heated....
(i must work out all this heating business!)

Lulubell - the bowl is plastic and pretty hardy - it sits on top of the scales and lifts off.

the scales seem nice and accurate - measured my gf's choc bar at 253grams which she was very happy with!
