Reduced From £29.99 supposedly

Salter Popcorn Maker Only £10.00

Blurb from the site -

Durable, quick and easy to use the Salter Cook & Serve Popcorn Maker is ideal for creating a tasty snack for cosy nights in watching the movies.

Fast and effective, it uses hot air circulation to make delicious popcorn in around 5-6 minutes, meaning more time for relaxing and less time spent waiting for that guilt-free treat.

Unlike other hot air popcorn makers you can add a small amount of oil which means you are still having a healthy snack but you can add flavours to the popcorn. Not to mention the Salter Cook & Serve Popcorn Maker also has an integrated serving bowl.

This Cook & Serve Popcorn Maker measures: 40 x 27 x 10cm
Power: 800W

The phrase in the article you linked to - 'has been associated with' is plain fearmongering - simply by saying it they make it true - *they* made the association. Not causal, not evidence, not credible.

I always just get a pan+lid, add 2tbl spoons of oil and then add corn. I didn't think a special pan was required.

put kernels in pyrex bowl, add tea spoon coconut oil put in microwave untill 1 or 2 seconds between pops. a lot cheaper than bags of microwave popcorn you buy....coconut oil makes such a difference to the texture

Likewise, i do it in a pan is so much easier and quicker. I had the misfortune of using one of these things at friends house, it was such a faff, I wouldn't waste money on one of these.
