16:9 I assume

I know, such a nice pair of numbers. I could give it to school kids as a simple maths question.

5 years ago, ok well 4 years ago I paid £199 for my Samsung 20" monitor. Was loss leader at pcworld, everywhere else it was £279, so I got a bargain for the time. Now they cost peanuts as demonstrated by this deal.

so?
I'm playing in 5:4 @ 1280x1024
4:3 @ 1600x1200 seems to be pretty good as well.:whistling:

Was that a 205BW by any chance? I seem to remember getting a great deal on a Samsung at PCWorld too, although not sure if it was quite 4 years ago!

Seems like a good deal and you won't need to budget for some reading glasses either...

it's all well and good people saying to get 1920x1080 res on a 20" but a lot of people won't be able to see much at that res!

Ah cool - same one I'm using now (although my first was replaced after only 2 months as the stand had broken). Guess it must have been 4 years ago I got it then...! Just another excuse to go and upgrade to a 24" now though...
