I got one last time it was £200 and I love it, I use it for gaming and to get the 1680 x 1050 res is a bit of a faf, but once u understand what u gotta do its great.:santa:

1680x1050 is the maximum resolution not the natural resolution, running any tft out of its natural resolution does not give the best results..

The natural resolution for this tft is probably 1440x900..

1680X1050 is the natural resolution for this monitor even though amazon says its its maximum resolution.

cheers.

Well iv'e looked at the specs and nowhere does it state the natural resolution of this panel...Only maximum resolution..

I dont have this monitor but was really looking into buying it from PC World for £200, i just wanna know if this is any good with a Xbox 360? and is it wall mountable? also i saw it at PC World like and it is a big monitor! i thought it was small due to the pictures but it is really cool and the widescreen looks ace! Also can this output 720p HD?? thanks in advance

Max res = native (or 'natural'), as you can't generate more pixels beyond what a TFT panel is made with. Going above the the optimum screen-size is only relevant for CRT technology.

bought one of these a few months ago and been using xbox 360 via vga and computer via dvi

once u get the pic tweaked up it really is fantastic for the money

may be selling mine on this week though as i have a 26 inch lcd on the way

This monitor has 1680x1050 pixels. so 1440x900 wiould be scaled up to fit.

I tried it with the Xbox 360, and while it looked good, I couldn't find a decent setting for the VGA to get it to fit quite right., what do you have it set at Emu ?
#13
mines unplugged now m8 because im using a 26 inch lcd

i think i tweaked mine with a bit of software while having the computer on vga then switched it over to dvi for pc and vga for 360

if i rember rightly the default settings on vga werent great and watch that magic colour thingy it seems to make everything a bit red

shame i cant be more help but when u do get it set up proper it will look great just needs proper callibration
