Really good price I thought for this 23" Full HD Samsung monitor with DVI connection. Was posted at £150 recently so this price is even better.

Same price at Dabs and Ebuyer so it's up to you which you prefer.

How do we think this Samsung compare to this 23inch one?
http://www.kikatek.com/product_info.php?products_id=117340
£127.66 including delivery, 2ms too! Guessing it's older but imo better looking.

They both have the same 1000:1 typical contrast ratio and the specs looks basically the same so who knows really, I'd personally go for this one though since it's newer.

It's a PC screen not a TV, No.

I got one of these for about £150 about 18 months ago, great monitor.

I recently ordered this from Ebuyer (same price) and it's the cheapest 23" 1920x1080 with DVI that I could find. They also do the same screen but as a TV (HDMI/tuner etc.) for something like £180 SM2333HD

I would avoid dabs tbh, you can't contact them by phone, you have to use their web chat.

it look like a good one

The kikatek one posted above would be better for gaming due to the 2ms refresh rate. I have this screen in the 1680x1050 20inch 2ms version, and love it though, so either way your getting a great screen.

I have the version with the tuner and it is a superb. Used it at uni for a TV, xbox screen and also a monitor for my PC and worked a charm. Have been looking at this one to have 2 matching for dual screen!

The P version is an older monitor and from a different range. This is the newer touch of colour versions from Samsung. If you are looking for a 16:10 monitor, try the T series, T220, T240, T260 (also available with tuners by adding HD to the end of the part number [eg T240HD])

PS: The added bonus of the 2333HD and the other HD series, is that it has built in speakers and HDMI ports. So if you want the added ease of not needing a speaker system, or in my case loads of extra wires it might be worth the consideration. (A newer ATI card can pass audio over the DVI port through an ATI HDMI converter so you only have one cable from the PC to the monitor for audio and video)

Been looking for a monitor/TV for some time, the SM2333HD with tuner suits my needs best & is available at electrical-deals for £149.99. £14.99 delivery though :(

Still really tempted

Is this screen better than this benq one - http://www.oyyy.co.uk/benq-g2420hd
Sam response but samsung has better ratio?

This exchange I've just had with the helpdesk at ebuyer may help owners of older kit thinking of buying this item-

I'm very interested in the above but I an worried that because I have an
old PC either the monitor won't work or it won't be capable of utilising
all the facilities of the monitor - for example, the HD and the high
resolution facilities. I'd hate to buy this only to find it performs only
as well as my current monitor because my PC is so old! My Video card is a
Sapphire RADEON 9200, (64 MB) AGP Video Card VIVO, my existing monitor is a
DELL E172FP [Monitor] (17.1"vis, s/n P14463CNGE1N, December 2003) and I
have a 6 and a half year old Dell Dimension 8300.

Thanks & Best Regards

Peter

19/07/2010 15:05 Dear Peter Foster,

Thank you for your contact with our Customer Support Team.

With your current graphics card you will not be able to use all the
features of this TV.

The card you have will not support high definition, and will most likely
not go up to a high enough resolution to be a clear picture. As this is a
larger TV, your graphics card will not be able to cope with the amount of
pixels it uses, and so force your screen to look stretched and large.

My suggestion would be to get a newer AGP card.

Kind Regards,

Andrew

Dabs has 2% cashback from Quidco or TCB, and you can get a 2m DVI cable with it free. Though ebuyer reviews say it comes with a DVI cable anyway - maybe you get 2 from Dabs!

Mines just arrived - with a dead backlight !!!!! Just my frikking luck... not sure whats best, replacement or refund and choose a different model ????

How are you lot finding yours ?

Mine is also faulty, going back to ebuyer. Apart from the fault it's a great monitor, the only slight annoyance is the bottom bezel sometimes looks like a black bar since it's so large. Probably get used to it and it was a good price so I'm not that fussed.

Went with ebuyer as soon as I saw the free next day delivery (didnt check if Dabs offered same), no faults at all, very simple to put together & configure. Very pleased with purchase however the only thing is as soon as I placed it on the desk it instantly attracted alot of dust but they provide a cleaning cloth with the documentation - hurrah!
