No 250GB consumer SSD is worth this money.

It's not higher calibre, it's not enhanced performance or endurance, it's less if anything. It's just a consumer grade SSD, nothing special.

Get it off my screen.

(Edit: I suppose I could take back "it's less if anything" as we don't know how 3D NAND will turn out yet...)

The 850 has better (claimed) performance and longevity than the 840 and most other consumer SSDs, actually.

I just bought one of these for about £131, so this is hot IMHO.

Beg pardon; I bought the 850 Pro, not the 850 Evo. What I said applies to the Pro, but I haven't compared the Evo.
