You can get the Freeview version of this TV at COSTCO for £480 and comes with 3 year gurantee, so you can take it back within 3 years say theres something wrong and get back exactly what you paid for it and get a upgrade or put it towards another TV

Apart from the glaringly obvious, what's this all about?

I'd imagine in 3 years time it'll be old hat, and you'll want a new system so taking it back and getting ur cash back is an old story but it works. I totally agree with doing it to places like Argos who charge £200 extra for the extended gurantee, they call it a 3 year gurantee but you only get 2 extra as you already get one as standard with them.

The small print in the terms and conditions of the warranty would have this covered. So what R U going to maintain is wrong with the unit for them to pay up?. The Insurers must be wise to silly scams, which this would be? No, I can't accept the - I want my money back routine, unless you set fire to it as it hangs on the wall - then claim back thro' houshold contents - now there is another story to be told!:whistling:

A store I used to work in about 5 years ago always accepted items back without testing them, no matter how much it cost. They just took the customers word for it, and they still do today.

Some people buy things without really having the money and then take it back when they've had enough or done what they need to do with it and get there money back.

i have heard that is the same with costco, they dont even look at the items, they just take them back,
