I bought one of these for £500 from Play last December, very good picture quality, though I have never used the built in speakers.

It has a PC/VGA input socket so can be connected to your PC, which I use all the time for Windows Media Centre and picture is spot on.

HTH.

To get a HD image you use the DVI connector, Samsung used to provide a HDMI>DVI cable with these IIRC. The DVI connector gives you the same quality image as a HDMI cable, however it doesn't transport sound. So if you are planning to use onboard speakers for sound get another TV, if you are planning to route everything through an amp, then this is a bargain.

PS - It has no "Audio Out" as such, you have to use a Scart > Audio cable on EXT2 for that (something which wasn't mentioned in the manual!)

Sorry but my one has an audioo out and is specified on samsung website

yes it does read this
Sony to 'block PS3 Euro imports'

Sony has said it will use the "full scope of the law" to block the importing of PlayStation 3s (PS3) into Europe before its official release.
The much-anticipated games console goes on sale in the US and Japan next month but is not out in Europe until 2007.

Last week a British judge ruled that Hong Kong import/export firm Lik-Sang could not sell the Japanese version of Sony's handheld PSP in Europe.

The case sets a precedent for would-be importers of PlayStation 3 consoles.

A spokesman for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) told the BBC: "The law is clear, and grey importing PS2, PSP or PS3 into the EU, without the express permission of SCEE is illegal.

"Therefore, we will utilise the full scope of the law to put a stop to any retailers who chose to do this."

Critics of Sony's approach feel that the electronics giant is preventing gamers in Europe from getting their hands on PlayStation 3s early, even if they have to pay a hefty premium.

The spokesman said: "Ultimately, we're trying to protect consumers from being sold hardware that does not conform to strict EU or UK consumer safety standards."

He pointed out that the Japanese or American PS3 models would not play older European-sold software for the first two PlayStations, would not play EU Blu-ray movies or DVDs, and would not be covered by a warranty.

The decision to delay the release of the PS3 in Europe - due to stock shortages of vital components for the machine's Blu-ray player - came as a blow to players in the world's second-biggest games market.

The machine will be released in Europe in March, while it goes on sale on November 17 in the US and November 11 in Japan

so if he really does have one lets see pics with todays date on

:? The manual doesn't show an Audio Out, and my TV certainly doesn't have a specific "Audio Out". Samsung's website does indeed specify it has an Audio out you can use the second Scart socket (EXT2) to output sound with a Scart to Audio cable. There are no specific Audio out ports on the back of these TV's though. There are multiple Audio in ports, but the only way to get Audio out is using the Scart>Audio cable as stated above. Feel free to check the PDF online manual, as it backs up what I'm saying. And Samsungs helpline also back this up as I spoke to them about this time last year about the issue.

Im waiting on the 23" model without the integrated freeview for £406:x

Im sure I could have made some more room in my bedroom for a 27" model if I really wanted.
