"Great" - hope so got a 3Tb version from Scan. Still to plug it in to anything about 3 or 4 weeks later.

Is it usb3?
#3
Yes it's USB 3.0 according to the product page.

This isn't a portable one i.e. it has an external power plug right? Shame :(

Is this a 7200 rpm drive and would it be ok for a Xbox one?

One of the comments says its Seagate inside. Don't know if true but Seagate are usually the cheapest external drives so likely

More than likely is a Seagate as they now own Samsung HDD business http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/about/newsroom/press-releases/seagate-completes-aquisition-samsungs-hdd-business-pr/

But this is cheaper than a Seagate and has a 3 year warranty rather than a 2year from Seagate oO

When you plug it in the console will automatically detect it. Just hold the big X button in the middle of the controller and go from there. The whole process just takes a minute or two.

I can confirm that these are Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm.
Purchased two, taken the drives out and into my HP microserver RAID array running continuously for the past 10 months.
