I think this is a new model isn't it? Three HDMI connectors too... Voted HOT! :-)

I bought this TV using the codes on Saturday morning. I think it might be a mis-price as Currys had it on for £563 for a few days then put it back up to £650. It is a bargain at this price as it has only been out for a couple of weeks.
#3
Oh I forgot to mention. The SAM32 code only gives £20 discount, not 30.
#4
Thanks guys :)

SAM32 gives up to £30 on selected 32" Samsung TVs but in this case its only £20. The price in OP reflects this...
#5
Very good deal for this TV

The SAM32 code doesn't seem to be working

The £10 is working OK though
#6
532 for only a 32".... this sucks!... get with the times!

Take a look at the specs before you post. :)

I got this tv a few weeks back when the price went down to to £532.

Fanastic picture but the sound isn't the best and it get distorted if you go too loud.

I'm not sure if they're still oing it but i always went to PC World and got Sky HD for half price when you spend over £30.

Great price for the Samsung.
#10
This is samsungs latest tv, Currys got them just 2 weeks ago.

The R88 (new one) has 3 HDMI and a 8000:1 contrast ratio.

While the R74/75/73's have 1 HDMI and a 5000:1 contrast ratio.

I dont know about you but I can see myself with a PS3/Blu-ray Player and HD Freeview/Sky HD in the future and cant be bothered with one of them splitter things again.

Voted hot.

I bought this model when it first came out in April, Highly highly reccomended, especially at this price.. The Games mode was designed in conjunction with Microsoft for the 360 and it looks amazing with games like Gears of War.. Even has a PC input !!

The SAM32 code doesn't seem to be working

Managed to get it to work and purchased the TV!

Was tempted to get an older 40" Samsung but think this was the better option.

Thanks to Edi.

this is an excellent tv - i've been looking for a good quality 32-37" for the past month and this ticks all the boxes.

anyone interested in researching the tv - it is better known as the samsung LE32R87BDX.

Personally i will wait untill I can get a John Lewis pricematch at approx £550 for the warranty.
#14
Perfect! just ordered one.

Thanks!
#15
Great find especially as it's the lastest model!
#16
One of the voucher codes wasnt working before and came to £555 with delivery date of 8th May.

Cancelled the order and re ordered using free delivery option, and tried both the codes again, and the price came down to £532 :)

Much happier now.
#17
I ordered one of these last week. The SAM32 code gave me £30 off..

Unit Pr Discount Total Pr
£563.39 £30.00 £533.39

I added £3 for delivery on a certain date, and got £16.09 cashback showing on Quidco.

Voted Hot. TV is £799.99 in store!

the samsung model codes are confusing me

what's the difference between the M86, M87 and N87? (i'm after a 1080p 40" tv)
#19
good price

What did you do to get the SAM32 code to work? I'm struggling with the SAM32 code too. The £10 one worked fine though.
#21
I used the 10APR07 code first then SAM32 i think and it took £30 off.

Just been to check it out in the flesh instore in dixons £700 now there (just knocked £100 off) It all looks very shiny and nice :)
#22
Despite my previous post just wanted to let you know in all this is a quality tv & even more so for the price.

You wont be disappointed

All I did removed the items from basket and close the browser and re-opened via Quidco and started again, £20 came off the total but this wasn't highlighted like the £10 discount but final price was shown as £532

PS Is the HD cable that comes with an Xbox 360 a component cable? Do I need to buy a HDMI cable if I want to get the best from this TV and my Xbox?

PPS Any idea how long this will take to ship?
#24
I ordered mine on the Thursday & it was with me on the Monday.
#25
Ordered mine today using the Free delivery option and rang dixons and they said i should receive the TV by this friday.

If you bought the PREMIUM xbox package then you should get a component cable with it (although for some reason my brother didnt) its the one with 6 plugs.

You can also connect your XBOX 360 up using a VGA Cable.

Im using the following ports on the TV

D-SUB - VGA (To connect my PC)
SCART (Sky+)
Component (Xbox 360)
HDMI (PS3)

Its got enough sockets to cater for most peoples needs.
#26
Cheers Solero, I just retried and it works this time. Still not sure if I should go for it or hang of until 1080p tv's come down.
#27
I'm so chuffed that this Samsung comes with an ace price tag. I've been waiting for this TV for what seems like forever!!

Just one thing though, how do I go about getting a price match from John Lewis, as I quite fancy the 5 year guarantee but would like to avoid paying the £699 they're charging. I live in Cardiff so I think my nearest John Lewis store is Bristol. I notice that on the Dixons site there are two prices....Is one of these the in store price, as I'm guessing John Lewis won't match the web price......the swines!

I was thinking the same as you but it will be a while before they come down to a price as low as this.
I am just going to try and avoid ever seeing a 1080 in action therefore I will be none the wiser!

Great Post. Have been waiting for something like this appear. Have been looking at some of the better budget 32"s for around £500 but this Sammy just blows the sock off of them.

Ordered first thing this morning. Used my egg card to get 5% off so i make the price around £505! Absolute steel, shop price is £699. Cant wait for it to arrive :-D
#30
If anyone is having difficvulty with the discount codes - try entering

the 10APR07 code first, then add SAM32 code

this ought to do it
#31
This is a great price for a quailty new TV

Great post
#32
can i use quidco with a code?

apparantly it can decline it because of this

im thinkin of using my friends 10% employee code

and quidco

which should drop it below £500 hmmmmmmmmmm
#33
Taken the plunge, couldn't get both codes to work but with the egg card its still a great deal.
#34
What is the resolution of this TV please.
I couldn't find out from Dixons website spec
#35
Ordered mine today, had my eye on this specific deal for about a week now.

Went to Currys to check it out, TV is awesome.

Dude in store offered to price match Currys website, £650, down from £800, but no way was I going for that with this deal on the table.

Another major plus is that the panel issues from the older R7 models has been sorted too (apparently).

From what I have read it seems as though you should stretch to the 37" if you can, as it provides better SD quality, despite the increased size.
#36
£13.30 Validated at Quidco as well.

Total price of £518.70

Do have a read of this before buying people.
#38
Thats for the R7 series specifically ^

The issue being the cheap quality CMO 03 panels.

The CMO 06 panels found in the R8 series are supposedly alot better.

Also, a few people have confirmed they have Samsung panels delivered from Dixons.

how do you enter the employee code??

i have my mate's but it just gives me "code error" if i enter it in the discount code section ?!

To get the codes to work you need to make sure that you uncheck the scart thats automatically added before clicking the buy button. If its in the basket and then you remove it the codes dont work. This worked for me anyway. Hope this helps.
