Note that there is also a £14.99 delivery charge on top of this, which brings it up to £549.99. However, you can get 2.5% off via quidco, which brings it down to £536.24. Or if you have an Egg card, you can get 5% instant cashback, which is in general more reliable. This brings it down to a nice £522.49.

Why have people voted cold on this? I can't find this set any cheaper than this.

play.com are doing it for £599.99 delivered - 2% quidco == £587.99
Amazon are doing it for £584.94.

Oh, and Dixons do interest free credit on it too.

So this is a good deal. Voted hot.

Oh, and a good first deal. Feedback left.

Is that a better deal taking into account spec etc?

Great offer but where do Dixons get off charging over 60% of sell price to extend the warrenty to 3 years?!
#14
Thats one hell of a deal for the Samsung 32" one of my friends paid over a grand for one of these no more than 12 months ago...

Trading standards will always backup that a TV should have a reasonable life expectancy of around 5 years. Also If it breaks in that time the problem is up to the supplier and not the manufacturer.

It will no doubt take an argument but I'd rather save the money and have an argument for 30 mins on the shop floor:whistling:

Also voted hot. Great price and nice specs. Still very happy with my mirai, so will probably have to hold back on the temptation to purchase one of these, although it is very tempting at this price. :-)

Is there an option for this on the website? can only find credit options that involve monthly payments...no interest free option.

Even though what you say is correct, it will take more than an argument on the shop floor. You would most likely have to take them to court to win.

Yes I'm interested in the interest free option too. Any ideas how to get it please? Great post thank you.
#20
Sorry, can see in the first part of illustration 2 that its an option dobbadobbs. x5 monthly payments of £17 something and then the resulting balance in one lump. Interest £0. That's more or less what I'm after. Now to persuade DH.
#21
Hmmm sorry another question. Can see this is a flat panel rather than a flat screen. Does this make an appreciable difference?

This is a very good price and by all accounts a great TV. However, if you would like something a bit (lot) larger and are contemplating buying the Samsung one with the three year warranty, take a look at this thread:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41391

Plenty of us are getting John Lewis to price match the Panasonic 42" plasma plus cabinet stand for £899, sometimes plus delivery, sometimes not. The Samsung works out more or less the same price as this if you buy the three year warranty and you will get a better and larger TV, a cabinet stand and a 5 year warranty with the Panasonic. The price match is a bit hit and miss, but definately worth a try if you are feeling lucky!

Mr Piggy thats a Plasma Tv not an LCD..

Plasma is inferior to LCD with a shorter lifespan aswell..

So certainly not a better deal than the Samsung 32" LCD..:)

Lol!!! Is this some kind of joke? Something tells me you don't know too much about the differences between LCD and plasma. I suggest you go look it up on the net first before handing out bad advice.

The simple fact is that people looking to buy 32" screens or less should go for LCD. But people wanting larger screens are still better off sticking with Plasma.

What most people buying 32" screens or less don't realise is that upgrading to Sky or Telewests new HD box will bring them only a very limited benefit. HD only really comes into its own in 37"+ tvs.

g miles does that one come with any warranty

The Toshiba 32WLT66 at Dixons with all the codes and the EGG card comes out cheaper and has slightly better reviews and if i am not mistaken, two HDMI inputs compared to the R74's one.
