Ha, Ha. Bought this TV from Costco 3 months ago for £294. It had a notice on the box with the price and stating it was end of line. Took it to the counter and it scanned in at around £470, pointed out the notice and they reduced it. I think they made a mistake and stuck the label on the wrong box as they are still selling this TV.
:prop:
Thought I'd add: I also have a Hanspree 37" and it has a much better picture than the Samsung.

Wow I am so gutted! I cant believe Costco reduced it by that much, they normally only knock a few quid of end of line stock and sometimes I wonder why they even bother.

Anyway about your Hannspree model, I ordered one 2 weeks ago, and returned it within few days because when I hooked it up to sky plus the picture was awful to watch, it was really pixelating on sign of any movement, football was poor. But then over 100 people have left positive reviews on Ebuyer and I am wondering whthe I recievd a faulty panel. I am thinking of reordering to test another panel because Ebuyer are very good at refunding your money.
Can I ask you how you have hooked yours up? is it through normal TV or hi def, or xbox or ps3 ? Thanks

The other one posted was for the 26" model, this most definitely starts selling at his price on the 18th Feb. Also you dont need the book to buy at this price as they have the offer open in store to all customers anyway and as you walk in they have the offer booklets available for collection. I was in the other day and they only had 2 left so unless they are expecting a big delivery they will be short of supply

Price matched to Empire Direct. Why not see if you can price match it now?

For tv, I have it hooked up a goodmans digital freeview box which has hd upscaling. The picture is really clear. I was really suprised at the quality as I was expecting a really grainy picture. It copes well with fast moving images, and football is not a problem. The quality does vary from channel to channel but that isn't the fault of the tv, that's just the freeview.
On the XBOX 360 in HD mode the picture is excellent. I'm really amazed at how much more detail HD gives, and the hanspree handles HD games perfectly well without any ghosting.
That said, my friend has a 40" Samsung Plasma TV and the picture is much better than the hanspree, but you pay a premium for this. I'm a tight wad and I really don't watch to much tv so I wouldn't fork out the extra. It might be worth it if you are really in to hd tv, movies and gaming though.
Not really sure why my hanspree is better than the samsung. Maybe the size of the set affects the picture quality, I don't know. :?
By the way, my hanspree is the older model and I purchased it from intekx.com

If you are not to fussed about BRAND name then Ebuyer have a 32" Vistron which has a Samsung 120HZ screen inside it and its £314 delivered, but you only get 12 months warranty unlike with the Costco TVs you get 3 years warranty

Hi,

do you know if they are doing the 40inch version and if so how much? (Or even the 37 or 42 inch versions?)

So you are now getting this for £399.48. Superb Price

They had 83 in the morning and was down to 15, twenty minutes ago....

I have just phoned two costco's they are taking a list of names to reserve these and they will honour this afer the promotion date of sunday. One costco took my name over the phone the other said I would need to go in before sunday. They will phone if you dont get one this week.
Is there much difference between this model and the LE32R88BD available at Dixons for £429 (with code)

the mian benefit of buying it from costco is the warranty as its a 3 year warranty and from what i heard they normally offer you a refund first before they arrange a repair.
