I am tempted by this.... I guess i'll just buy a digital camera with the £80 and sell it on ebay...... hmmmmm

In my experience CDiscount have massive delays with refunds and only refund when forced to. I would not buy from them again.
#4
Looks exactly the same as the one I got from Comet for £350 before christmas!
#5
My daughter got this for £299 at Fenwicks in Newcastle - WITH a 5yr guarantee !

Sorry but have to add that there is warranty that anything that CDiscount advertise is actually in stock. They take payment immediately and one can end up to wait literally for weeks for the item to become available.

It's an avoid for low priced items, but it's a must-avoid-at-all costs for me for high price tagged items like a TV.

Will shut up now but thought it's worth alerting people of this.

Are you sure it's the same? There are a HUGE range of models in this size by Samsung.

I have the LE32A559 which is basically the same thing IIRC and it is pretty good for the money. Looks great with a HDMI source :-)

Just read the other post £299.. very surprised if it is the same TV that is a superb bargain.

Some more info http://www.le32a558.co.uk

LOL a domain for a TV? anyway..

The LE32A559, LE32A558, LE32A557 and LE32A556 are essentially the same, i.e. they share the same panels and picture processing technology. Slight cosmetic differences serve to differentiate these models, with some being sold exclusively by various distributors

How on earth do you get the £80 guys?

You would receive £20 account credit for every £100 spent, this credit is then automatically applied to your account in the form of a voucher code.

whoa cdiscount have an account here now?

Guessed they must have been looking at the site with all of the short but frequent sales though ;-)

Just to let you know, I feel a little let down at the cdiscount cancellation process. Normally I sing your praises from the rooftops, but on this occasion I will not be. I've spoken to two staff members, who say they are doing 'all they can', but 5-6 days to cancel an order within the hour is unacceptable. I've been told I now need to wait until the TV has been shipped before cancelling.

OFFER HAS NOW EXPIRED.
Just to offer some complete feedback - Have received £80 voucher.

Sunday Evening 05/04/08
I ordered Samsung le32a558 which is 1080p (True HD), this is currently a limited offer at £429, so using the code HOTUKDEALS give you £80 Credit with 'HOTUKDEALS' voucher.
I cleared cookies, when through Quidco. Paid using the 3 Split Payments. First taken 05/04 (today)
Monday Morning - Quidco tracked at 19.35 on Monday.
Confirmation on CDiscount item had been picked
Monday Afternoon
Followed ordering process, had email from 'the3rdman.co.uk', which are a check checking company on behalf of cdiscount. Checked with cdiscount that was correct. A Slight variation in the Credit Card address to my address registered with Cdiscount caused the problem. Emailed this information (would have preferred if this was sent securely (encrypted) but detail only included full address shown on statement, payment card type/company - no card information, Name of Cardholder. Name of Person receiving goods. (Same)
Note: Never send address and payment card info unsecured! ie. 16 Card num + exp date + 3 digit from back of card.
Monday Evening 06/04/08
Confirmation of Shipping / Confirmation of Dispatch. Dispatch via Home Delivery Network.
Tuesday Morning.
Goods delivered. No Problems.
Wednesday Afternoon
Received email in inbox detailing £80 Promotional code as stated.

So for all the problems I've read about CDiscount - for me couldn't have been better. Emails from CDiscount were quickly replied to - regarding the security check / validation of the use of www.the3rdman.co.uk
Tracking online was informative, and accurate. Gives information regarding when it has left Cdiscount, and been received a region depot - then on van for delivery.

Goods could not have been received any quicker, and voucher credited 1 day after purchase automatically (to inbox as stated in offer) So deal works out at approx £330 for 32'' TrueHD 1080P Samsung TV + allowed three easy payments too!.

Thanks to everyone at Cdiscount. Looks like Amazon might have some competition long term.
Often people complain but then fail to leave positive feedback if the experience was good - so just trying to balance the argument.

Hope this information helps if Cdiscount offer this type of deal in the future.

(Mods: If there is somewhere better to post this could you move it. Thanks)

Great feedback. I think you should be posting this in each of the cdiscount threads. As I said above, I have been singing their praises up until now, but unfortunately have been let down majorly on this occasion.

CDiscount are aware of my problems, but it seems that when it goes wrong, it goes very wrong, and when they are good they are great!

That website goes to a Myspace page ;-)

Did you mean a credit checking company? If so I was under the impression the 3 payments thing worked without a credit check.

Apologies - website should have read www.the3rdman.co.uk (I was writing it from memory)
There was a variation between the credit card address and the postal address, same postcode, two lines on one line without a space - computers can't tell the difference.
as an example (not real)
10 Rose BankPendleford, rather than
10 Rose Bank
Pendleford, if you get my drift.

Ah makes sense. I had similar troubles with Three the other day trying to buy one of the USB dongles posted on here.

Their system couldn't cope with my address from the given post code. I gave the post code and then it would put:

A House
Flat 1
A Road

Instead of

Flat 1
A House
A Road

Which completely mucked up the debit card charge.. they had no way to manually do it until I got to the 5th department who could do it.. but not with the £10 off voucher!

This is now expired if you're hoping for the account credit BTW

I know this has expired but there are folks still looking at the Cdiscount comments. I was intrigued by the comment

That is against the law. Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to cancel and even refuse to accept delivery. You are fully withing your rights.
I have an outstanding order with the before I read all the negative comments. Will wait and see for now.
