I got this TV from my local RS (Newcastle) yesterday...and what can I say? the quality is fantastic (seems even better for just 250 quid) It is HD ready, has an optical out port (for surround sound), freeview, VGA, composite, 2 HDMIs...the full specs are on the website.
The extra 5 year warranty is around 25 pounds but that covers any product fault for 5 years and includes labour cost ect.
Bare in mind this deal is only available for in-store customers, but RS have stores everywhere, so enjoy :)

First Deal :D

Thanks for the heads-up (and your first deal!). I saw this on the RS site but thought availability might be limited as there isn't a stock checking link on the page. Anyone know why it's not there?

voted hot as its a good deal at £249 however you can get the le32b450 for £279.95 in Richer Sounds. John lewis will price match the le32b450 meaning you can get the le32b450 with 5 year gurantee for £279.95 - same price as the deal here.

So....if you dont want the 5 year peace of mind get the le32b350 but if you get the 5 year gurantee might as well get the slightly better spec le32b450 at john lewis via price match.

I my self am going for the le32c530 full HD at £351 with 5 year gurantee from Richer Sounds.

Got that myself this week from RS - stunning picture quality, particularly in HD and the built in media player has saved me spending another £80 on a Sumvision MKV :3 Ending up buying a 500gb portable HDD instead. I got the C530 on an open box deal for £330 inc 5yr guarantee - had a problem with being given the wrong model and got a new one as a replacement :D

I have this older model bought at the higher price when it came out. Its a good tv. I did not realize there was a newer version that had a built in media player that also played MKV. I have the WD TV Media Player and bought this for its MKV playing capabilites and was now thinking of getting the newer version because of the DTS audio play. I noticed that the spec on the newer Samsung says that it plays DTS. Is this also from an MKV file and does it have the subtitle capabilities of the Western Digital WD TV Live HD Internet Media Streamer. If it does then, I may consider purchasing this, as the streaming function wasn't really a high priority for me.

In this day and age yes why not ? If you can get 24" a hQ led backlit 1080p pc monitor for £150 then why not a 1080p tv for £250 ?then why not

Yeah I would prefer 100Hz but the sharp doesnt appear to be 100Hz either and I've not seen any 100Hz around the 300-350 price.

Yup, you really need full HD if you are watching BluRay and sitting closer than 5ft from this set.

Of course, if you sit further away than that (most people do) and you only watch HDTV then it's fine. FullHD is a waste of cash for most and completely unnecesarry if it's going on a badroom wall (my bed is 7ft long - dwarfes may benefit).

Got this telly for my holiday home at the same price back in December from RS Manchester. Great telly for the price in December. Not so hot eight months later. Beware the speakers are not great, or may be just the cable quality in India.

The Samsung 450 is a great TV for the money, definitely recommend it for the money. Think it is worth the extra over the 350.
