It is but wont price match due to savestore being an online retailer.

It's a really tempting price but the reviews for this merchant are really bad.

They are also in store too, but the nearest JL is 12 miles away from saverstore and it has to be within 8! :(

Seems like a good deal to me. If JL did do a price match then that would be even better (with 5 year guarantee). No experience with Saverstore.

really? where was that?

also the bigger you go, the more it costs exponentially

Seems to be a few deals about on 6 series, but no experience of this company. Given the earlier lip synch issues suffered I think I would want to be able to have local contact, but just my preference based on some reviews I read. 48 inch version of this is £529 at Currys, no stock JL, and 48H6670 is £599 at Currys, JL will price match. So this seems like a good price.

Oh, just read some reviews on company - doesn't look good.

I hate people who make silly comments about the size. I'm rich and my room is huge. I need the extra 15 inches. Size matters.

A BMW 5 Series is about 15" longer than a 1 Series. They both do the same job, i.e. get you to work and back. You can get a 2 litre in both cars yet how much more does a 5 series cost. About half as much again. 55" tv's are expensive because as we are all finding where tv's are concerned the only was is up and never down. I had an old 28" CRT which finally gave up the ghost and bought a 32" LCD to replace it, not long after they first came out. It cost me a fortune. Upgraded to a 42" then a 47". Just bought a 50" which is still in it's box as I'm thinking......should I have gone for a 55" as it's only 4" wider than my 47 with the same height. Where will it end. Good deal on this tv though. Sammy 6400 has got great reviews.

A 55" TV has almost twice the surface area of screen as compared with a 40" TV. Probably why it's roughly twice the price?

I have the 48 it is superb bought it last week despite lip sync worries they have been fine so far no issues. I believe richer sounds price match and also have 5 year guarantee although there attitude was awful I would of preferred it from jl but stocking would not let me

I've just done exactly the same, bought from JL @ £799 and got it price matched at Currys for £749.

If you get it matched any lower please PM me I would really appreciate that

I bought this tv a 2 weeks ago from Richer Sounds in Middlesbrough for £749.00 as well as a 40UE5500 for £379 and they would not price match Crampton and Moore on the 40" which was only £10.00 less. The reason gave was that C and M dont include a 5 year guarantee so the deal was not like for like.
As for the 55" it has not disappointed (bit worried about the lip sync comments as I had something similar but assumed it was the feed from my NAS), the 3D is excellent even though I have always dismissed the feature as a gimmick, at this price the TV is a steal.

John Lewis said they wouldn't price match because they don't have stores. Only an online presence.

Well, I did enquire, they said no. Here is the response.

Dear,

Thank you for your enquiry.

In order to apply a price reduction on a purchase, the criteria in our pricing policy must be met. I regret that after review the request you have submitted does not match all or parts of this policy.

To match a price request, the competitor must trade on the same basis as us, for example we will not match online only retailers, mail order only or showrooms attached to internet-only orders.

Saverstore are an online only retailer with a showroom attached.

Therefore, on this occasion I regret that I cannot match the price offered by saverstore. If you would like to view more information about Never Knowingly Undersold and our pricing you can do so on our website.

I am sorry I have not been able to reduce the price on this occasion. If you require any further information or assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Aliya Zamir

I bought this from Very. The picture is stunning and the features are second to none. A great future proof purchase as 4k will be years and years of yet

Can anyone advise on whether the 6500 version is a better TV?

Looks to be, but not sure if it's actually an older model.

I think its same as 6400 plus freesat

okay, I've been wanting this TV for a few weeks now and holding on the best deal. Thanks to work, I missed the black Friday deals for £650 in Currys etc but unless someone knows about how January sales work and whether it's worth waiting a a few days/week longer then I am going to buy it tomorrow for £749.

Will say I was peer pressured by clever folk on hotukdeals to buy so the wife doesn't change the locks.

I bought this tv from very last week I missed out on the Boxing Day deal. It was 749 and with your first order you get 10% off plus 7% off topcashback. Great tv really impressed
#39
really wanting to get it from shop, ideally JL or RS, due to the 5 year guarantee. Think I'll just go for it and if the price changes in the next week or two, ring them and attempt to blag a price match. thanks, it sounds like it's amazing. Hope I don't notice any lip sync issues

It is a great price for the TV the only thing I'd say is that the processor is 1/2 the power of the 6400. So if you stream video from a NAS, external hard drive, t'interweb , etc. then it's more likely to go blocky on you.

As I recall It has half the motion rate or whatever marketing term Samsung call their frame rate/soap opera effect but that wouldn't make streaming go blocky. They are essentially the same TV but the 6200 doesn't come with 3d glasses or smart remote.
