You posted a link to the LE40R83BX and not LE40R87BDX

The LE40R83BX (dixons) and the LE40R87BDX are the same tv - the model number used by dixons is only for dixons group (currys, dixons and pc world) they do this alot to make it harder to price match.

check out the features they are all the same.

Are you sure, I thought it was the R88 that DSG group used that compared to the R87 models elsewhere.
The R83 never used to have a digital tuner did it?

I have the 32" model and it's great, very good quality picture.
I've always liked the Samsung screens.

Input Video Formats: 480p, 720p, 1080i, 480i, 576i, 576p

It is a 720p resolution according to Wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-definition_video

I think that the Samsung tele's at the mo are the best on the market, we have several at work, i have the 22" monitor and many friends have them. I dont think you will regret buying a Samsung, however, perhaps on a 40" tele you would be better suited to 1080p, i would just feel like i was missing a little bit of quality with 720p on a 40". Wait another 3/4 months and the 1080p will be the same price :)

Voted HOT though cause its a very good price for a very good tele!

So expert what is wrong or are you freelance? did you put the link in? no, you just spout without facts. You could wait months before it came into stock and they will always claim 2 to 3 days

Would have been a fantastic deal, but 2 days before the expected delivery Debenhams have cancelled the order as it is no longer available from the supplier. This model is no longer available from any of the cheapest alternative stores I had identified either.:x
