Hi, been watching this offer for a few weeks now and today they dropped the price by a further £50.
This is what you get a 42inch samsung tv and a samsung bd-c5500 next generation blu-ray player. Not a cheap £40 player but a decent one that retails around the £100 mark.
To top it off you get the Marks and Spencer 5year cover. To get this deal add the tv to your basket, then the blu-ray player, follow through to check out where the price is adjusted. Should also get some quidco

The tv also get some good reviews.

The deal has come back on. You have to add both products to your order T042707 and T047023X. bargain for £402.50. Will add heat when mod un-expire deal. Charlie

1080p sources like this look brilliant on 720p plasmas they downscale the image to perfectly suit their resolution and at normal viewing distances most people can't see the extra resolution of 1080p anyway. Plasma pixels have a better response time than LCD and the colours are more natural, you also get far better blacks on average than LCD. The end result is a very satisfying image and importantly fluid movement too including panning shots.

Some 1080p LCD sets for example are truly appalling and you wonder why people ever bothered to change from CRT.

The size and convenience, you certainly wouldn't change from a CRT to LCD/Plasma for in most cases the picture quality.

Indeed - I still have a 36" CRT Panasonic 100Hz TV and the picture is at least as good as many of friends new LCD's. Proper colours no ghosting/panning problems etc. Doubt if I will replace unless it goes wrong.
Something like this deal however possibly could tempt me ;)
#22
extremely hot deal, I'll be surprised if this is not 'top of the day'.

I assume 5yr. guarantee covers TV and blueray player

agreed , if you need a new tv and don't want bigger then this is a mega bargain.
#24
Great deal on a very nice telly. Bought it just before the world cup (literally arrived an hour before kickoff!) for the same price from viking, but without the bluray or 5 years.
#25
Just ordered, damn you hotdeals for tempting me. the 32" goes up to the bedroom (!) and the mother in law gets the piddley bedroom 15".

Apparently this TV has a USB slot as well for viewing pics and vids in HD.

£390ish after quidco.
#26
holy crap! Hot!
#27
astounding deal - ordered.
#28
Plasma TVs are bad news, if you watch anything with a fixed logo in it. And 42" only 720p. Pffft.
#29
Am a bit lost guys, the link I see the tv is at £549?
#30

Just add it to the basket, then add the blu-ray player and hey presto! - the price comes down.
#33
vivicia,,disc comes out at checkout,,also make sure you order the blu ray in same deal code(T042707) otherwise you will not get it,,good luck,, but hurry.
#34
damn forgot the free delivery code!

OK the TV price itself moderately hot with quidco, but the clinch is the 5 year warranty, which itself is worth about a hundred notes (yes I know you have the sale of goods act but it can be a **** to argue) and the blue ray player. But it's not the ability to play blue rays that I'm interested in, its the ability to stream wirelessly and play MKV files - that alone is worth a minimum of 80 notes. So for me it was big telly, free warranty and free media player.
#35
Blue ray OOS, gutted
#36
yep,,blu ray gone.told you to hurry.
#37
no blu-ray anymore :(
any way around it?
#38
my niece has ordered but no blu ray left,,minor point does this tv have built in free view????
#39
For those not interested in the blu-ray, try this:
