sorry silly question - what is difference between 556(this model), 557 and the 558 versions? im assuming 558 is the 'better' version but how?
#7
if John lewis free warranty is so awesome why do they also offer a premium service that has to be paid for?
#8
Would go for a 768p Panasonic Plasma in this price range personally.

Spent some time in Currys today to compare all of the internet reviews and opinions against what I could see with my own two eyes. At this price, size and spec (although I don't think that this has 100Hz, does it?) it's really rather tempting. That said, I have to say that the Panasonic PZ80 series looked to give a significantly sharper and smoother image on the BluRay DVDs on show (can't comment on the Standard definition however). I think I'll keep looking and waiting for a keen deal on the Panasonic TH42PZ80 (currently £750 with 5 year's warranty). Even though it's smaller and more expensive I have to agree with the many reviews that rate the Pannys so highly, only beaten by the much more expensive Pioneer screens.

the to$$ers have cancelled the order claiming 'out of stock'. Didnt even have the decency to phone - had a standard email.

How can a multinational retailer sales system not interface with their stock system - shocking.

It now seems out of s tock elsewhere such as John Lewis - so now screwed!

Thanks Dixons - will certainly not order there again!

They are all identical televisions, with slightly different trim. The model numbers are "different" so that the retailers don't have to price match.

The actual difference is in the colour of the bezel. The A556 has a black one, the A557 has a silver one and the A558 has a titanium one.

Everything you ever wanted to know about this TV is in this thread at AVForumsl - but be aware that there are over 1400 posts in the thread!

Hi All
I ordered this TV with surround sound system on the 25th got an email saying it would be with me on the 29th. The TV came but no surround and they told me I would have it on the 30th and then the 31st. I have had to take 3 days of work and sit in for DHL to deliver but no sign of it. Now they cant tell me when I will receive it. I am far from happy with them. :x:x:x
Has any one had the same sort of problems with them???

Looks like this one has gone... how did people get on with this TV? I was mightily tempted.
