The new Samsung S2 Portable 500GB external hard drive is the new light weight and low power hard drive from Samsung . The exclusive USB on board technology reduces the lenth of the hard drive making this drive smaller than a Passport. It allows you to expand your storage capacity, copy, save, delete and even run files straight from your portable hard drive in the same way you would from your PC hard-disk. This ultra light, pocket sized hard drive is perfect for all your storage needs, allowing you to quickly and safely back up all your files where ever, when ever. With half a terabyte of storage capacity you can make a movie theater, a music store, and an office of your own and take all of them with you for experiencing ultimate mobility.

This special edition Michael Jackson's "This Is It" is a rare, behind the scenes look at the performer as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold out concerts at London's O2 Arena. Chronicling the months from April through June 2009, this film was produced with the full support of the Estate of Michael Jackson and drawn from more than one hundred hours of behind the scenes footage, featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs for the show. In raw and candid detail, Michael Jackson's This Is It captures the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius and great artist at work as he creates and perfects his planned final London shows.

Would you honestly want to pull out a Jacko hard drive !!! They could be almost giving these away and I would have to say no thanks
#2
They must have seriously overproduced these things, they appear all the time.

500Gb portable hdd thats usb powered with good reviews for under £50.
At £1/10GB its a pretty good deal, and comes with a film pre-loaded which you can remove.
Id say its a bargain!

You can get a "neutral" 500gb portable hdd on amazon for £3 more (52.89).

I don't have anything against MJ but I wouldn't buy anything with a label. Why advertising for free?

Isnt this a 1 out of 3 limited edition they are planning... the Ian Huntly and Gary Glitter versions to follow soon!

This made me laugh but it's in poor taste.

Personally, I would not want to be seen with this but might be worth buying if you are just going to rip the drive out and use it inside a netbook or something?

I was under the impression that the Samsung S2s are native USB drives (no SATA connector on the controller board) ? ¿ ? ¿

Looks like my post has been deleted, I didn't realise they were producing USB drives which aren't based on a standard SATA inside although it makes sense to do so. I've often bough USB drives from a supermarket deal for the drive inside because it can work out cheaper or be more convenient than waiting for a delivery if you need something quick.

For anyone really concerned about the branding, I believe these ship with a slip case & the cable can be connected while still in the case. Nobody need know your secret.

Although it may get a little warm on extended use.

Absolutely, my portable Seagate hard drive is a SATA drive in an USB enclosure. It's a Samsung thing, they are probably saving 5-10pence doing it this way.
